Hey all, I was planning to grab a Corsair power supply but as the branding etc all seems to have changed I decided i'd seek some advice on whats the best power supply to buy for the build i'm looking to upgrade to

It will be a i5 2500k which I will hopefully overclock to 4.4/4.5ghz
an Ati 5770 and 4gb of ram

I currently only have one hard drive but i'll be looking to go to 2 in the future but one will be an SSD if I do that, and the 5770 is temporary, I will be upgrading that to a new GFX card in a few months time, to a top of the line Graphics card hopefully so the power supply has to cater for that in a couple of months or so time also please, but i'm not 100% sure what kind of power requirements that would need, wether it'd be 500w or 600w etc so any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time :)

Maybe also look at how long the warranty lasts for.

I had a Silverstone nightjar bellow pungent fumes on its 2nd birthday - Perfect timing

I'll be replacing my corsair once the 5 years is up :D

the B-series have 3 years warranty, in the lepa website they state that most products have a minimum of 2 years warranty, but some products can have 3-5 years.

Ahh thank you for the information and help guys :), what do you think of the OCZ Mod and StealthXStream power supplies? they arent too expensive either and OCZ are a very well respected brand so are they recommended too or you think I should stick with the XFX and other brand power supplies? :)

edit: and no plans to Crossfire/SLi at the moment so it doesnt need to be super powerful :)

Well theres no budget per say, I just want to try and keep it as low as possible while ensuring it's a high quality and reliable PSU, so lets say no more than £60, hopefully that'd be enough to ensure a nice high quality power supply around the 500/600w mark, the suggestions so far are definitely great PSU's that can power that system and having a large scope of power supplies to choose from is always nice for sure :)

Be Quiet 530w = £44
OCZ ModXStream 500w = £48
XFX 550w = £55
Antec HCG 620w = £62 :)

the above PSUs are all capable of running your setup since your not planning to go CF/SLI

I think i'm gonna go for the XFX or Antec then as they seem like real good PSU's for the price :) thank you for the help guys it's hugely appreciated
