What he is saying that you need to understand those teachings and then make your own conscious decision if those teachings resonate with your own morality and life choices. Blind faith is no faith at all.

stop trying to push your gay ways onto people.. i can live with people being gay, trying to get me to say, being gay is normal isnt going to happen, you're like a gay foot in the door preacher..

ive been around lots of gay people, but i keep to my self.. in the world of the gay, nothing is abnormal, this argument cant be won

Maybe he is, but he is also stating that you are using your holy book to justify a position based on your interpretation of what that book says. There have been a few discussions on this already, all of which end up with the layman who thinks the Bible justifies Homophobia being shown to be ignorant of his own religion.

Proverbs 24:3/4

Through wisdom is a house built; and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge shall every room be filled with precious and pleasant riches.

in other words, do not follow the words of others blindly, use your god given faculty for reason before making arbitrary judgements based on interpretations of scripture that are generally wrong.

Some seem to take them so now, however I suspect Scientology has no real longevity unlike Christianity or the other world faiths.

I can see a movement toward less centralised faith and a more individual faith replacing institutional religion though.

I know this isn't directed at me but I'd say not all that good, if anything there's too much known about the origins of Scientology for it ever to be accepted as something other than what a science fiction writer created (notably after saying words to the effect that if you want to get really rich start a religion).

I have done homosexuality and genetics about 5 million times on the forum, I'm not bloomin' doing it again! Weirdly, this was the only snippet I could find.

Huh? No, I think they should bang away until their hearts content, if they choose to of course. Using any orifice they deem fit, same goes for gay people :p

I fully support gay/bisexual people doing whatever they like and think it's ocompletely natural. Mason- appears to be of the opinion that it's wrong because it's a choice, my argument being that all sex is a choice.

you got all of that from that little proverb....wow!

in one sentence you are saying I have to interpret the bible and make my own conscious decisions about its teachings and then you are saying my interpretations are incorrect, no wonder religion is so messed up. think i'll try Jedi..lol

Interesting, I should start burying a few time capsules with the history of Scientology just in case :D

Is it just me or whenever people quote the bible and you actually read it.. It could basically mean anything you wanted to twist it to mean? Or maybe i just don't get it xD
