Hello there,
Well i had this card for few months now i have been having quite a few issues when gaming, but i always blamed it on drivers, games would crash or freeze.

And now it has become unusable, games like FEAR 3 or Crysis 2 would crash after 5 minutes.

it is possible to return my 560ti So and swap it for MSI GeForce GTX 570 OC Twin FrozR III? i paid £245.78 for my 560Ti

thanks guys

Probably not, you could sent the card back for Ocuk to test and they would if the card is faulty or ok, then I suspect they would replace with same card.

Have you tested the card in another system?

no i haven't tested it in another system, well overclockers don't do gigabyte 560TI SO any more so they couldn't replace it, but can't they give a refund and i would add the extra cost to get the MSI 570.

btw i am allowed to do a OCCT gpu error test? would that void the warranty?

One of my mates had to send a card back to OCUK that was broken. Since OCUK no longer stocked the card he had to wait on OCUK getting a replacement from the manufacturer before he got his replacement.

but i don't want a replacement, so OCUK would not give me an option to change it for a different card?

btw a lot of people have told to be test it with OCCT and see if it gives me any errors, but before doing it i am actually allowed to do a OCCT gpu error test? or would that void the warranty?

thanks =]

What's the voltage on the card?

If you look at Gigabytes user forum, you will see a lot of posts about 560ti at the moment and in most case, a slight bump in the GPU voltage sorts their stability issues (not all cases of course... but a fair few). Though I don't think you should have to do this to get a card working at stock, the various Graphics card forums are littered with posts about people with problems with low vids, especially on OC cards. MSI is another example. Loads of people with issues with the MSI 580 GTX twin frozr card not running 100% stable. In this particular case, MSI have even made available an updated BIOS for the card that bumps the vid up to 1.025v.

see http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?board=7.0

well gigabyte have done two new bio updates for the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560Ti OC/SOC that address the OC problem.

Just don't use any sort of flashing tool from within Windows (EG. MSI have their Live Update and it causes more problems than it cures!!!). Assuming Gigabyte have anything similar of course.

well if i get the oc problem and don't want to flash it simply using msi afterburner to increase the voltage from 1015 to 1050 fixes the problem. as i read in the other forums that what other have don't to fix the oc problem plus if you look at the new bio for the card you see that all the gigabyte main done is increase the default voltage on it.

No they'll send it o gigabyte. Gigabyte will most likely give you another 560ti or they'll give you a newer version.

OcUK are pretty stingy with refunds (even in store credit) especially when compared to the competitor run by the loveable millionaire!

Then again, OcUK are really efficient with the RMAs.
