Im soooooo scared to press the buy button

For the last couple of week ive been on here asking which pc to get. Ive finaly got one i want from here but So scared to press the buy button on that PC i want to buy. At the moment its £1,280 and if i press the buy button the price will come down no in me or a new version will come out the following day what should i do?. (Give or take the price as price changes from time to time)

You'll be waiting forever if you want some tech that isn't cheaper within the next few days.

When I bought my system, it cost me about £1400. Shortly afterwards the Titan Spinosaur, the Vertex 3 SSD and the Asus 580GTX were all cheaper/on offer.
If you worry about prices dropping, you will NEVER buy. A mate of mine put up with his clunky old machine for over a year before he bit the bullet n clicked buy.
If you reckon you need a new machine, and you can afford it, just do it!

You sure you need such fast processor ? You could get a MUCH cheaper processor, £20 fan, much cheaper mobo and case.
Much cheaper and less wattage PSU and 4gb ram.

Clearly moneys a issue and they will go down by the day and I always think it's best to just get what you need and upgrade often rather than trying to future proof..

Also samsung f3 or f4 are fantastic hard drives

If you're so incredibly scared of not saving ~£100 by waiting an immeasurable amount of time, then perhaps you shouldn't be spending £1.3k on a new computer?

Buy and Enjoy or Re-spec and Save :)

I didn't imagine people on overclockers forums bought pre-built systems, afterall the whole point of these forums initially was to discuss PC components and custom builds, I thought we all built our own on here.

Op'r! build your own! you could put together a very high performing system for much less than the price you're prepared to pay for the pre-build. Get yourself over to the component sections and do some research.

Darfur war orphans see their parents hacked to bits in front of their eyes. If they're lucky they too will be killed and won't have to further endure rape and torture.

This is what we call perspective, OP.

Whenever you buy something, the next newest thing is always around the corner. If you wait too long, you'll be an old man before you know it.

I had similar feelings when I got my latest PC. But I knew that no matter how long I waited, something newer would always be on the horizon.

Just man up and buy it.

What he said, buy the damn computer

Surely with a little research you could fine out what new hardware will hit the market next. OcUK should also know this, give them a call.

Silly question, you have got at least a 24" monitor haven't you?
Sometimes I hear about these rigs and the chump is sitting there in front of a poxy 20" or something daft.

Hi i have a 32" sony bravia flat tv 1080p and is fine with current pc.

Also i could save £50 if i went for the stock case Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case. But i wanted a decent case.

Ive heard that ivy bridges are coming out soon but dont no when.

As well i could go for the Corsair Hydro H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler instead of the H80.

Which then cost £1,186.97 inc VAT.

But if i got the Antec 900-2 Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gaming Case better case which is £50 more would that make better air flow or are you just paying for the name?.
