non iphone ideas

I moved from Android to the iPhone and haven't looked back. Every time I'm tempted by one of the 4.3" screens I see on Androids, someone in work has yet another bug or glitch on their Android device and it really puts me off. I can't remember the last issue I had with my iPhone or the last time I had to reboot it, I know it's a common cliché but it just does work.

I'm still running a 3GS but it's Jailbroken.

Is it a carrier locked phone? My GFs Desire is a piece of crap.

I'm not saying all Andorid phone's are like it, but a day doesn't go past in work with someone complaining about their Android handset.

Anyway, all my apps are from the Apple and Cydia store, it would be far too much work to switch. :)

That might be it then with hers, it's on Vodafone and still on 2.2

Though in saying that, I don't know what improvements 2.3 brings.

Back to the OPs question, just get her an iPhone. :p

Sounds like she has her heart set on an iPhone, so no point encouraging her to use something you know she will regret. An iPhone isn't just about specs and technical stuff, but also about usability etc...

I know it has it's bad points which Android covers very well, but you just gotta sit back and think of the good points that appeal to many consumers too!

I have an Android phone myself and so do many people I know. They seem to be having no problems and neither do any of the other people who know who have iPhones.

Is she into tech? Will she really care that the Galaxy S2 has Android on it and is a bit more open?

Nothing wrong with an iPhone if she likes it and it does what she wants.

+10.

I MUCH prefer android. but most users dont care about flash or open source so the iphone is ideal (if a little expensive). get her to try them out, then but the right one.

As long as she has her own lappy and doesn't have to install iTunes on your uber rig then get an iphone and get yourself a Galaxy S2 and constantly mock her.

Flash is great, was streaming the tennis over wifi from the BBC website eating a sarnie for example.
