FIFA 12 v PES 2012

I'm currently playing PES 6 with my flatmate, and although both not fanbois we've both only ever played PES properly really.

However both new editions are out soon and FIFA seems to have a much bigger following. We also like the idea of not having to hack options files to get proper team kits and names etc!

Having not played I can't really get my head around the team building in FIFA. Can anyone provide a link to a basic guide for this?

Anyway, which will you be buying and why?

Really like TUT in Fifa. Its so addicting. Will be sticking with Fifa from now on. PES just isn't as good as it used to be.

Do you have Fifa 11? Ultimate team is free to download. Just go on there and you'll find out for yourself how good it is.

Back in the day I'd say PES6 was easily the best football game going. However when Fifa 10 came out that is the game which converted me over from PES to Fifa. It just feels different from any other Fifa, same with 11, they really are strides ahead of any other footy game now, tight dribbling etc. Especially with Fifa 12's new defending mechanic which means no more heat seeking-missile-like-defenders.

For me PES has better graphics and player likenesses and FIFA feels more fun to play.

This and I used to be a PES fanboy. in 2008/2009 was the switchover when PES was utter crap and Fifa improved dramatically.

I can't understand how anyone can like PES over Fifa nowadays.

Put it this way, you don't hear many going from Fifa > PES

but lots go PES > Fifa

Sad but true. PES's days of greatness are long gone. I caved in and pre ordered fifa 12 but havent bought a new pes game this generation! I dont think it change with the next releases either :/

Come on now you need to be realistic about this. Most of City's newly acquired fans don't know what half the squad look like.

I hate how they feel the need to copy off every other club. IE, a club tries to sign someone, Man City swoop in with a higher bid just because they can. Their away kit is dire too, stop trying to rip off Milan.
