Hey guys,

I am using the Corsair Obsidian 800D for my new build.

When it arrived I was astonished at how tall it was and as I got into building it everything worked flawlessly.

This is true up until when I went to install my SSD in the hot swapable bay bracket. The case screws they give you are too thick and do not fit.

My SSD (OCZ 60GB) didn't come with any screws either so I had to go out and buy some.

It's not that much of a big thing but to improve the case they should provide SSD size screws :)

Has anyone else who bought this case come across this?

Cheers,

Hatton

just built my new rig inside a 800D and there were screws that fitted my ssd so might have just missed them out

My OCZ Vertex 3's 240Gb came with screws but you can only use 2 of them per drive. Didn't bother using the 3.5" mounting tray as it wasn't necessary:

ive never been able to get an SSD to actually work in the hot swap bays. So I always just use a 5.25" adapter now and put the SSD up with the optical drives

I have also now found that I can't find the "4 pin speaker" connector that plugs in to the front panel connectors to give a beeping sound on boot up.

It doesn't seem to be with the main bundle of connectors. Has anyone else with the Obsidian 800D had the same problem?

tbh i dont remember if mine had one or not, i dont really use them.

my motherboard beeps without it and has status LED's which are much more useful

The status LEDs on the motherboard, I have one that is red and is near the 24 pin socket. I'm not sure what this means, as I have plugged in the 24 pin correctly but it still shows up as red.
