If you had £8K. You are a family of three with your child being 9 so capable of clambering in the back if needs be i.e. 2 doors possible but definately rear seats. Mileage at most for the year will be 15K. Servicing costs not a big issue.
Focus ST, Cupra R, Impreza MY05 STI, Octavia VRS, E46 of some sort? Clio cup (might be too small)
