hi

i have a asus crosshair V formula motherboard with a 1090t.

i just want to know what does "do not remove the thermal module, the thermal conditions should be monitord." mean? also how do i monitor it or is it automatic? i only have 2 temp readings, cpu and MB

one other question, when i load the bios to defaults it sets the "CPU PWM & CPU PWM phase" to extreme, should i keep it on that or put it on standard & t.probe?

hi.

i have one other question.

is it safe to use CPU Load Line Calibration on high / very high? or does Load Line Calibration degrade the cpu?

because for 4ghz i need to set the CPU Load Line Calibration to very high and set the vcore to 1.39v~ so under load it'll sit at 1.40-1.41v...

You tell me.
If the LLC made it spike to none safe voltages, I'd agree, but as long as it's within limits, it won't.

It just depends on the board, When I used to set the cpu voltage on my CH3 to 1.45 and enable LLC, underload the voltage used to hit 1.57v, which is high so I never bothered using it, My CH2 however was much better and did not increase the voltage as much.

theres no spikes other than:

on extreme it idles at 1.41v~ and under load it'll sit at 1.44v~

on very high it idles at 1.39v~ and under load it'll sit at 1.40-1.41v

on high it idles at 1.38v~ and under load it'll sit at 1.36v~

on meduim and regular the drop is a lot more

surely if LLC is bad there would be a warning in the bios or manual

this can't be right? a warning came up saying the SB voltage at 43.089v for about half a second..
