Lost a little stand thingy for motherboard OH NO

It will not make a difference unless the motherboard is touching the case. The will cause it to short out and you'll have to either: find it, buy a new one, or improvise.
 
Yes it is a stupid idea, I certainly would not do it.

You can get 15 of them off the Bay for £2.

Well, I lost 1 motherboard riser, then found it. I wasn't trolling.
I've finished my system now.
and what I was talking about the little bumps on the case for the brass screws, when I put my motherboard there, it didn't align, so what I did was throw away the backplate and just left it like that :p
