It's beautiful

doesn't do much for me.. same with the e-type - don't get all the hype/it being the most beautiful car in the world etc etc etc.. - personal taste.

I can understand how people can perceive it as 'beautiful', but, like the E-Type Jag, it just doesn't 'do it' for me. Then again hardly any classic cars do, in fact the only one I can think of from the top of my head that genuinely makes me 'oooff' is the AC/Shelby Cobra. That said, I do love a bit of classic yank muscle

Fair enough. Then again, I don't really like the E-Type too, looks odd with the super long bonnet.

pmsl.

before my time though, I'll never understand.

And not mine? It's about 15 years before my parent's time as well!

Anyway, you have a Smart Car in your sig. Opinion invalid. :p

God I want one so much.

Little **** ;) How long did it take you to find, and where did you find one? I am desparate for one, you see

:D

I found mine via pistonheads. I actually wasn't looking for one seriously when I got it as I was looking to get a Volvo P1800. I saw mine advertised though and thought "owww that looks nice" did a bit of research and it worked out that I would be a lot cheaper the run and maintain than the P1800. Went to see it an put the money down on it that day and I haven't looked back. I would say the best place to look for the is either Car and classic or the triumph clubs.

That Mercedes is one of the prettiest Cars ever built. I also find the '57 Plymouth Belvedere, '60 Chevrolet Corvette, and Jaguar C-Type very pretty too.

Speaking of which, I was behind what looked like a one-seater Jaguar D-type this morning on my way to work. It didn't have any indicators on the back just rear red lights. I wasn't able to get a identity on the registration plate, but I'll try again later.

On the subject of Triumphs, I love my little Triumph Spitfire (just got the mixture right and took it for a spin not long ago) it's not got the 6 pot of the GT6 (mine is a standard 4 cylinder), but it does share a lot of it's components (and vice versa). Second one I've owned, I also found mine on piston heads.

Kind regards
