Phone for £180?

He might find the software a bit horrible compared to his iPhone though, but he's been relatively vague so I don't know.

Just how good is the sat nav anyway? I need one and I was thinking to maybe get an N8 so I have the decent camera as a bonus, and I have a strange itch to try one out properly, I always have :(

its just as good as a tom tom.

i have both tom tom for iphone/ipod and n8 and both do a very good job, plus all maps can be stored to hard drive so no need for internet either

Guys, just in regards to selling my iPhone. If I go into an O2 shop would they be able to give me a normal sim if I hand in my mini one? How do I go about getting it changed?

Cheers

HTC 7 Mozart can be had in mint condition for £180 or a LG optimous 7 can be had brandnew for around £150 both really good phones imo.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'm going to go for the HTC Desire HD. Above my budget slightly and obviously second hand. Will keep an eye out on one selling.

So nobody suggests the Desire HD and you've gone for that? :p

Why!

I presumed because it was out of my budget maybe?

I've been reading lots of reviews and not really many things wrong with it? You suggested the Desire, surely the HD is better?

Well -

  • Software wise it's good, easy to update and modify if that interests you (probably not :p)

  • It's got a fairly poor battery, you'll likely have to charge it every day unless you barely use it, if you do use it a lot in one day, it'll go flat quite fast

  • The camera performance, while not too bad, isn't really very good

  • It's quite big and poorly constructed/designed

Other than that, it's not bad. I'd really only recommend one (on a budget) if you like to browse the web a lot though, that is really where it stands out.
