I want to build a new system, with a new case. 780 quids is all I've got. Can anyone quote me the various component, this rig is for gaming 70%, working 30%.

Thanks!

All good but I would go for:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-446-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1906 as the mobo, the z68 chipset would be wasted with a seperate gfx card and any benefit really wouldnt be worth the extra money....plus this asus board has dual 8x8 pci lanes so can crossfire in the future if you want.

Plus if your psu is not to old, e.g 1yr-2yrs and you are happy to use it that would be more than sufficient.

Case: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-068-SV&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=1092 My personal preference but I think the Antec 100 is the supeiour case to both suggestions:

Jasonst888:
What is your proposal? I also do not want an Asrock board.

I have just downloaded Rise of Flight demo. It's a wonderfully rendered graphics engine. What spec will allow me to run the game at Max'd out settings? I really love this sim and I am waiting for the retail version to come.

This build should be able to run that at max specs, judging by the recommended specs, also have saved you enough money that you could maybe consider a ssd?

Why a Micro ATX board?

Also, about the graphics board, I have used ATi for a while now and it's damn hot!

Can you suggest me a nVidia board?

Also, I want to know if I want to go for 8GB because I will run VMware for serious work like testing out stuffs in Linux and Oracle using VMware...

Micro atx...because you didn't specify the need for crossfire or sli in the future and this is a very good mobo, and will do everything the bigger one would do...just in a smaller package....and cheaper!

whats damn hot? That gfx card is the best one at that price range, and with that cooler.....if it gets hot....then its faulty :P

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-094-KS ram 8gb ... gd make to.

If you want NVidia, there is no shame in it. 560ti or 570 are very good cards. I would say the Asus 560ti DirectCU. Should remain cool and will perform. 570 can be in budget.

If you do VMware, then yeah 8GB will be very handy. At £50, it's well recommended.

Damn fine build that, fair play ! :P Personally I'd go for the 6950 ,practically the same fps in most things....and i wouldnt say the 570 was worth £50 more...but thats just me.....

Iwould use the saved money on an ssd, thats where u would really see the difference
