Some souls you might as well consume, some are very important for upgrades/new stuff.

Am I better to go straight through 1-1 to 1-4 or should I go do 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 ect???

It won't let you passed 1-2 without first killing an end boss of another level.

I went 1-1, 1-2, (boss was easy with Royal class) got the Flame toss spell, on to 4-1 to get the Crescent Falchion, (cheated a bit to kill the black skeleton and get the weapon

) farmed the beginning of 4-1 a bit for some souls, then onto 2-1.

Pretty much as the BBS build guide.

4-2 is great for farming, 4-3 even better on NG+.

You can go pretty much where you want, but some levels are easier when you have certain weapons/upgrades/equipment or a higher lvl.

it took me quite awile to even have a chance on 4-1, think i did it 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 3-1 (looked at 3-2 and ran away quickly) 4-1 (died a lot) 5-1 (urrgghh!)

I have the Phalanx soul and the Armored Spider soul sitting in my inventory doing nothing. What should be done with them?

Also, I haven't found any better armour yet than the basic Royalty stuff.

I got this brand new the other day... Last copy shopto had actually so that was a bit of luck!

I haven't played yet and won't for a while as I want to finish mass effect 1 & 2, but we all know this game is tough, but is it throw ur pad at the tv tough? Or damn tough but I can't put down sorta tough?

It's not as tough as it is unforgiving. You need to use some level of strategic thinking and you need to be prepared at all times for pretty much everything.

The Phalanx soul can be used to make the Scraping spear or 1520 souls.
The spider soul= The Lava bow, Fire spray magic, Ignite magic or 3200 souls.

I went for the Lava bow on my first run due to my low str/dex, adds 100 fire damage to arrows and slightly stuns the enemies.

I didn't upgrade to the Lava bow though until i'd finished 3-2 with the Compound long bow (you can't do it the easy way with the Lava bow)

I mostly use the Black leather armour found in 3-1. I swap some bits around depending on the lvl or if i'm farming.

Ok I was on 1-2 last night and am completely stuck every were I go there is that big ******g dragon. I mamaged to get to the top tower were I got the short bow (great, was dying to get my hands on a bow). But the next part is waaayyy to hard. Buy the time I have start running after the dragon has breathed fire up the way and by the time I get there there are about 4 or 5 guys who start to attack, at that stage the dragon has just burned my ass to a crisp.

What is the best corse of action can I actuall kill the dragon (doubt it with the crappy bow I have now) or is there another path that I have missed???

Time ur run, the dragon can be killed from what i remember, but can lure the guys off the bridge 1st with the bow, then melee them, when its mostly clear can run across the bridge just afterthe dragon has done his run.

if you can't make any progress just head back to the nexus drop off any loot and go back into the level and hack through the easy stuff collecting souls, repeat and level up your character, what i pretty much did i think.

Damn yea I forgot about the bow to lure them, they are pretty far off though, I hope the short bow can do this the dragon breaths a lot of fire quite a distance up to the gaurds.

I will try and see if I can bow them form top of the tower and then make a run for it. Will still need to farm a few souls and get some arrow wasted the 6 that I had

But thats why I like this game you have to work at in oder to progress.

Is that the group of dudes on the bridge?

I used Soul Arrow to just kill one at a time, then when I heard the dragon's wings, legged it back to shelter.

Rinse and repeat.

Unfortunately I am the Knight class (not sure if I can get the soul arrow) I take it you were royalty when you did this yea?

The part I'm taking about is on the third part of the bridge just after you have spoken to the Grubby little merchant from 1-1. The guards are so far away and the dragons run seems a little longer than the last two.

Hopefully the bow should do the trick.

It's in 1-2 yep. The bridge isn't too bad. Watch the dragon first to see where its flame begins and where it ends. Remember that it has cleared that section of enemies so it's safe to just sprint through.

Go to just before the dragon's flame starts, then when it flies over again, start sprinting until you reach the next enemies, at which point you are out of range of the dragon.

I keep dying on 2-2...

Just lost 7k souls.
