Couldn't see a section for suggestions, outside product suggestions so posting in here.

Can the OCUK gods add in related threads to the bottom of each thread?

Would be cool to see related threads, so if someone made a thread relating to "2500k Overclocking" and it would display the last 5 threads relating to this.

Good or bad idea?

Is this an existing feature of vBulletin that can just be 'switched on' or would it require coding?

Also, how does the system determine relevant threads? Is it based on title, post content etc...

If it's just an on/off option then it might be useful – if it requires any more input than that it's a complete waste of time.

Over on AV Forums when you're posting a new thread it automagically searches with your thread title as the search term and finds similar threads (not that people post without searching first ).

how come ocuk never backup the forum and update to the new version anyway? they seem really paranoid like its going to create a blackhole other websites do it with no issues and if anything does go wrong you can easily go back to how it was anyway
/\ That's a hack/mod and has zero chance of being implemented here
why not? as i remember you can only get them by having a VB license anyway as otherwise you dont get permisions on the VB forums to download stuff

Why do you think they don't backup the forum? I've seen them having a dev version of VB4, not sure if anything came from it though.

Because they don't want to add security holes.

New version of VB is pants, big company took over, best staff left, news staff seem a bit clueless. This is regarded as one of the best version of VB, Xenforo is what VB 4 should have been, made by the devoplers of 3

XenForo is alright, but far too early in development for a big board to sensibly move to.

It's got some nice touches but it's overrated tbh.

Change, it's not something that happens here so you'll be lucky if it ever happens. Search will always be your friend.

It's not an addition I need - but I guess it would be nice...

I'm sure they'll take this suggestion and put it on the suggestion pile :p Must be long enough to reach the moon by now :p

Would be handy, but then, only really if you've posted without searching first :p
