I either game on my projector or monitor, when on the PJ the surround sound on my amp is fine as the speakers are in the right locations (HDMI from GPU to amp). But when I am playing on my monitor the speakers are in the wrong locations relative to my desk so the surround sound comes "out" the wrong speakers.

To resolve this thinking of getting some headphones, but don't have a soundcard as no need. So was thinking of the Logitech G35s. When plugged in I assume these become the default output but when unplugged will Windows go back to the settings I have now (ie 5.1 over HDMI to app) or will I need to manually change this every time?

I think I saw another thread sometime back, where someone asked a similar question. I do believe Windows will switch to the newly inserted USB audio device, and will revert back to the previous default, once removed.

Thanks, OCUK had them at a good price so already bought them. Picked them up this morning from the post office so will see what happens tonight, hopefully it will do as per above as switching it manually each time would be a pain.

After my first day of use I am thinking what song do I want to listen to in audio bliss ;D
The mic and general build quality is typically high as with other Logitech products.
Can't wait to do some gaming!
