PS3 or 360?

That old question again.

For some reason I cant decide which one to purchase; ive just sold my old Phat PS3 and previous to that (about 18months) sold my old 20Gb 360.... now because Madden 12 is due to arrive, I need a console again.

So do I go with a new PS3 Slim and have the option of region free gaming (important as I may get MLB games) OR do the new 360 Elites or whatever they are called, hold better value for me?

Part of me wants to go back to the 360 for LIVE... but that then negates any saving I make because I have to fork out 40 notes to get online compared to the PS3.

Then part of me thinks shelling out for a console for 1 game, that will probably gather dust once im playing BF3 (if its any good) and then NBA2K12 (PC) is pointless.... but then again, I need Madden.

Im useless at choosing, sell me one and ill buy it Sept. 2nd w/ Madden 12.
 
You just sold a PS3 but now you're deciding whether to buy another? Doesn't that really answer your question anyway? Friend and exclusives, decide which console is better for you on that basis. :p
 
As above, get what most of your friends have.

From my point of view (having owned both) the only reason to get a PS3 would be the Uncharted series of games :p
 
Yeah definitely what your friends have.

I have both but MUCH prefer my xbox... and if a game is on both I wouldn't even consider the PS3 version for many reasons, but I keep it for the exclusives (namely God of War).
 
Id say Ps3, as there are more exclusives id want to play (eg still havent played MGS 4 and GT5 because I bought the wrong console!)

Plus being on here id hazard a guess you have a decent PC, and most decent Xbox games are in better quality on PC anyway.
 
got an old style 360 with 20gig hdd, got over 150 games and happy with it, altho previous console suffered rrod :( This one going strong for almost 2 years now. Console is a console, unless its ps4 or xbox 720 :D which r out soon

I'd go with the 360, You JUST got rid of the PS3. And you got rid of a 360 18months ago, hense you have 18 months worth of games you've not touched yet.

Also, Live is closer to £30, less if you shop around.
 
I have owned both.

Only have my Xbox 360 Slim 250gb now but I regret selling my PS3.

Xbox - Forza 2 and 3, GoW, Alan Wake, Crackdown, Fable and Halo.

PS3 - GT5, Resistance, MGS4, Uncharted, Killzone, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Motorstorm, Littlebigplanet, and Demon's Souls.

Yeah the PS3 has a better selection of exclusives and the online is free... I really do miss it.
