Super mini review & pictures
I obviously haven't tested everything properly yet but I have a fairly good idea.
Build quality and design
Design wise I quite like it. I really do like the back of the phone, I think it looks quite impressive with the metal bar and dual cameras. I'm not so sure about the front, but there isn't really anything wrong with it. It works.
The phone is fairly heavy, it feels pretty much a similar weight to the iPhone 4/Sensation (partly because it is

). Weight isn't something that really bothers me and it isn't a chore to hold. The Galaxy S II with the offical case on is about the same size (perhaps slightly larger), so that would give you a good idea of what it's like to use - not a problem.
The power button is on top and is easy enough to press one-handed (I have average size hands I'd say). The charging port is under a flap at the top left hand side of the phone, which is an odd place to put it and might make car docks a bit of an issue, I don't know. Under that is the HDMI slot, but you don't get a cable which is a bit strange! The loudspeaker is very loud and fairly clear, I'd say its basically the same as the Galaxy S II and a lot better than the Sensation.
Nothing much more to add really, everything seems fine, the buttons all feel solid when you press them, etc.
Overall, the 'perceived quality' levels are high.
Screen
I'll only cover 2D stuff here.
The LCD panel is a very good one. It's actually one of the best I have seen, probably most similar to the one on the HTC Incredible S. The viewing angles are actually fairly good, miles better than those on the HTC Sensation.
The colours are vibrant and it's VERY bright if you ramp up the brightness. Blacks are a bit less grey than normal too, which isn't something I'm used to seeing on an LCD. Text is easy to read and everything seems nice and crisp. The glass has sort of a slightly beveled edge to it as well, which looks quite nice and there aren't any gaps either side where dust tends to easily settle (like on the Galaxy S II

).
Overall - it's very decent.
Software, Browser & GPS
It's missing Gingerbread and has Froyo, but there isn't much of a difference as I'm sure you know. The LG skin has pleasantly surprised me, it's not too intrusive and has a few nice features. I think Go Launcher EX will be going on at a later date though. They've used some funny colours for some things, like a yellowy/orange for some icons which just looks a bit wrong to me, but it's not much of a problem.
Performance wise, the phone is very quick. There really isn't that much difference between it and the Galaxy S II and it feels faster than the Sensation. It doesn't seem to be held back by the 512MB of RAM, which is good. Web pages load VERY fast and scrolling is smooth.
The GPS locks quickly and it also works properly when indoors, other phones seem to have an issue with that. It's quite excellent.
Battery life
No comment as of yet.
Camera & Video
I was quite worried about how well the camera would do when it comes to 2D stuff. It's certainly no Galaxy S II but it's not bad. It gets the colours spot on and captures detail well most of the time.
Semi-close up -
Same picture from the SGS II -
I will do a proper comparison at a later date.
The 1080p seems fairly good too but I need to upgrade the firmware which apparently makes it a LOT better. So I'll report on that later.
3D!
So, this is the main 'point' of this phone. Some people will like it, and some people wont.
I actually do like it. It seems to work very well, some 3D pictures and video just look absolutely brilliant, others are more average but overall it's good. It's easy to find a good position for the screen so you can see it easily and the depth sometimes is quite incredible. It really does look like things are floating above the screen. The Nintendo 3DS is NOTHING like this at all, it's poor compared.
It's very easy to capture pictures and video that take advantage of the 3D effect, which is good. It is certainly a nice and very interesting change.
This alone could sell this phone to a lot of people, you'll just have to try it. You might absolutely love it. I wouldn't say I love it, but it's certainly good to have. It has a place in the future, for sure.
Early conclusion
Even without the 3D, this is a decent phone. It's fast and responsive, seems to have a decent enough camera, decent 1080p video, and a very nice screen.
If you aren't interested in 3D, the Galaxy S II certainly trumps it, but if you have even the slightest interest in 3D, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't try one out.
I'm not personally all that interested in 3D, but when it's this easy to see and use to create more interesting pictures and videos... why not have it?
I'll post proper picture comparisons etc later if anyone is interested, or anything else you'd like to know?
