Hello collective of Ocuk having a few issues and I didn't know if any of your bright minds might have any ideas on what I'm struggling with.

Basically im geting very odd textures flickering and shooting out at all angles in games and benchmarks.

Ive tried all the lates drivers from 11.1 to 11.6b, card is cool and well ventilated and getting plenty of power (700W OCZ jobbie)

Ive also tried running in DX9, 10 and 11 and having the same problems each time

It doesnt matter if my settings are on as high as possible or as low as possible

Used to get exactly that when I overclocked a tad too far on some graphics cards. Could be faulty if that's not overclocked.

Have you tried under-clocking the card?

Yea...I remember I get tearings like that when the memory clock was clocked too high when overclocking. But if your memory clock is on stock speed and getting tearings like this, it probably mean the ram can't handle even the stock memory clock, so looks like RMA time...

What settings do you use in CCC?
In your "CCC - 3D application Settings", try cranking up all the values so that it is better quality rather than better performance.
Let me know if it still like this.

One of my 6970s was doing something similar but only when tesselation was enabled, got it RMA'd and now everything works fine. So get that card RMA'd as that's clearly not right.

Underclocking didnt make any difference and then game hard locked my pc up

Changed this in CCC on both highest quality and performance....still the same

RMA time?

I've seen this happening on BF on another forum, turned out it was DirectX going wrong or something. Give us a sec, I'll find it.

EDIT: Driver reinstall was the fix. If you've already tried that, I'd say the core's probably hosed and it's RMA time. Check your PCI-E clocks in the BIOS too, too high will mess it up.

Yea im thinking so, done DirectX re install, reinstalled drivers, underclocked, PCI is set to 100 in BIOS.

All seems fine but 3D applications seem knackered, so im guessing its the card
