The modern media loves this kind of stuff though. I'm quite sure they are happy when it happens. They are peddling drama, but from real-life, and they need people to "write" it for them.

BTW everyone should watch newswipe it's a great series.

Just dreadful. This is really going to put a mark on Norway for a long long time.

It's been quiet around here since 5-6 yesterday and most people have their flag out. A good friend of my grandparents had both her children killed at that island :(

Really dont know how you are supposed to defend against this type of thing, anyone can suddely flip and go off on a rampage at work or into a school. The only way is to make every office or school like a prison meaning you cant get access.

Shocking news to wake up to that the death count on the island has gone from 10 to 80 people, this world never ceases to amaze me with its ablity for us to kill one another without a thought for what we do to the familys.

Answer, it is very difficult to prevent attacks from isolated individuals, almost impossible if they are clever.
 
I wonder if any of the deaths are a result of diving into the cold water trying to escape, it would be horrible to think people died as a result of drowning.

The last thing we need is idiot conspiracy theorists making up things. I have seen nothing about the authorities even suggesting an Israeli link. In fact they have named the guy they believed did it, who they believed was a right wing extremist. Apparently they've also had problems with Neo Nazis in the past.

What the hell is wrong with people. Just checked the death toll again - 84 :( RIP
