Legacy System was announced at a Q&A panel yesterday. The details of which can be found on the front page of almost all fan websites like www.DarthHater.com.
"7:28p: JO: We have an unannounced feature that will unlock other races/species for factions. (Legacy system)"

It states that max level characters who create a another character will have additional race choices as an added perk to re-rolling. Basically to show other players you are not new to the game, but instead are experienced with multiple classes! It rewards living out the vastly different stories per each class!
Thank you Bioware! It is really great that those of us who tend to play a bit more solo and enjoy rerolling and experiencing new stories get a fun perk like this! I'm very excited to see what the races will be. Even if they are silly it will be great to show other players I'm not a noob on my 2nd, 3rd, 4th go round!
Afetr a lot of speculation I guess we finally have the answer. From my point of view its a sad decision but what can we do?
On the SDCC James Ohlen said:
We are going to allow you to respec out of your advanced class, first time not very expensive, and then after that it will become progressively more costly. First time easy, after that difficult.

Watched the video now, as I suspected it didnt do much for me, tiny little quake style arenas and people hitting each other 15 times with a lightsaber. Hopefully they will announce something more interesting in the open world PvP department, as the little arenas dont float my landspeeder![]()
4:31p: Question: Are there worlds devoted to pvp? JO: We have confirmed that we have open world PVP in the game. So one worlds, yes, has a huge area of it that is devoted to open world PVP but we're not going into details yet on how it plays until the near future. SR: We'll be talking a lot more about PVP over the summer though
I would like to think "you can kill people you encounter" happens absolutely everywhere on a PvP server. None of this sanctuary rubbish like they put in WoW.
Okay, so where can I get the CE edition from. Cannot find it on the GAME website.
- How is the agro system in this game, does it work much the same as in other mmo's like wow, I guess thats a big question, maybe you know of some articles to explain the complex details of the agro system like in raids agro devided betweem multiple mobs etc?.
As far as I can tell, the agro system is not all that different to WoW.
- Also if your levelling, say I'm level 10, you come along and your 3 levels above and you kill my mob after I've tagged it, do I still get xp but say like just 10xp as opposed to 100xp that I would have got it if you hadnt of come along and I'd killed it all by myself. And do you share any of that xp or does it only go to me because I've tagged it first?
Only the person who tags the enemy gets the XP
- Also are the mobs in the game labbeled like in wow, gray/green/orange/red for difficulty?
Not with the same colours, but there was colour coding
- Are there elite mobs out in the world that you can solo yourself that are harder then normal mobs of similar level and you have to be really skilled to take them out, but you can still solo them if your good? - And they drop better loot then your average mob
Yes and Yes
- When you were levelling was there a lot of group quest?
More than enough group quests to keep you busy, but not feel like a burden if you don't want to do them
- I think this might have been mentioned before in this thread and probably been asked 50x already but is there a group finder for flashpoints?
There is a LFG option, but it is very basic at the moment.
- Are the flashpoints 5 man and 10 man?
4 man *I think* - you wouldn't want more than this for them anyway
- Also is joining a party/instance/flashpoint just as easy as in wow in the sense that I'm level 23, I been questing for 2 hours, I'm starting to get bored...I want to queue up for an instance(flashpoint) I open the group finder window, it searches for 4 other people, and then it teleports me to the instance(flashpoint) and then once the instance is done it teleports me back to where I was questing?
No idea.
- Also is the loot the same like white/grey/green/blue/epic/legendary etc?
Pretty much.
- Once we reach max level 50? Do we have to get attuned or do anything special before our guild can begin raiding in the Operations/Raids? Like do special quest to find keys or get attunement with honor for a certain faction or something like that? Or do we just reach level 50, jump straight into a raid and let the good times roll?
Never got this high
- Does the game have Diminishing return in PVE and PVP?
Yes
- Do certain classes have class skills/talent points to reduce agro?
Yes, and to increase agro
- Did you have an addons folder in your installation directory or see an addons button when you logged in the client?
Nope
- Are the auction houses linked for both factions or seperate?
I am not sure
- Can we craft new items and sell them to opposing faction and can we speak to the oposing faction in-game?
Again, not sure
- Are there daily quest to do which are repeatable but only once a day at max level, so we can earn vast amounts of money each day?
Didn't make it to max level, so again not sure
- Do our items have durability and get damaged as we fight and die in PVE and PVP? And do we have repair bills?
Yes and yes
- When you were levelling did you notice or see any armor sets in-game for each class type, weather it be from doing flashpoints or quest or grinding honor? Do you happen to get any set pieces yourself for your classes and if so did they seem good, look good, have good stats and good bonus attributes?
Yes, there are class sets - some are easier to get than others and some look better than others. A friend of mine was a Sith Juggernaut and his armour looked very, very cool
- I know we have speeders to get around but how much do they cost and what skills are needed? Also what other methods of transportation is there to get around, I think we saw on one of the videos a train of some sort, is there anything else to move around a planet...I'm presuming already from planet to planet we just use our own ships, unless theres other methods to get from planet to planet like teleportation...but then again, this isnt star trek lol.
Speeders are cheap and you don't need any skills. You can buy a mount later, there are super expensive (as they should be). I think there is an upgraded version later on too. Planet to planet is your own ship.
Only way to get the CE in the UK is from GAME, their website has sold out so you will have to go into your local store to pre-order it. Or you could get a standard edition from numerous places or the Digital Dulexe edition from Origin.
Hope I get onto the beta at some point towards the end when the game is near, basically so I can try some classes and pick one. Amiing for something fun but shouldn't be be overplayed so anything with a lightsabre is immediately outpretty much guarantee 3/4 of the population will either be a Sith or Jedi.
Smuggler or Imperial Agent is the class for you. I played the closed beta last year, both are brilliant fun. Held their own in PvP too.
IA is the only dark side class I'm interested in, it'll probably be the first thing I roll. Here's the ship again, just in case you missed it :
Had a quick scroll through the last few pages and couldn't see their Q&A from yesterday posted, it's really worth watching:

That was really good but its stops at 19min??
