Even so BC2 was developed for consoles first, it's got the exact same gameplay mechanics as the PC version. Just point and click at the triangle on either platform.
even when enemies are spotted, the triangle is a fair way above there head so you cant just aim at the triangle and shoot
One thing that does annoy me about FPS games is muzzle flash. In BC2 (though not exclusively) it can seem a little extreme, especially considering that there is very little flash in real life.
It's firing blanks in films that makes everyone think that rifles have a massive muzzle flash.
Watch a video like the one below, and see that when the guy fires there is barely any flash.

Read and weep (it's fairly indepth and difficult to understand).![]()
Meh i prefer it with the ott muzzle flash, you sort of expect it.
Yeah but given the bullet drop aiming at the triangle is normally the best approach across long distances.
For a little history on spotting, in Bad Company 1, you could throw infinite motion ball sensors when next to an ammo crate, a maximum of 3 would remain on the map at any one time covering a fair area, the enemies all got lit up for approx 10 seconds (mini-map + screen). Now imagine an entire squad doing this and the map becomes impassable.
Gives some idea how deludedly stupid DICE made the game in an attempt to appease the console users. But sadly this has carried over to the PC game now.
The regen health and the red marker above enemies heads will kill this game.
I hope there's server options to turn both off these things off without using the hardcore damage model.
