I love the current browser version but it's just not the same as an installed version we used to see on the PC.

Runs fine on my system running win 7 64bit, I also use the Nvidia control panel to max out the AA and AF and considering its a few years old now it still looks pretty good. The best thing about it though is it looks absolutely amazing in 3D! :)

EDIT: There is a minor issue with it, it doesn't natively support widescreen although that problem is easily sorted by the use of the Universal widescreen patcher - link

ive got TW 08 and played it quite a bit, SSD died and so when i went to reinstall it on my new one i couldnt find the book with the activation code so couldnt play it :(
so im looking forward to the new one, roll on sep 6th :D
 
Very good, if I can create a golfer and play in some online leagues then I'll be happy.

Basically I want all the online features of fifa games.

Pure speculation on my behalf, I am guessing this will be a completely different SKU and is likely being used as a vehicle to garner more subs for TWO.
 
First I was woo now im Boo. I pray this is the full game like on consoles. But I bet we end up getting some half arsed cut down single player and that send you to TWO for the rest.
 
How's that for coincidence, I was just pondering this morning after consigning Tiger Woods '08 to the loft whether there are any new golf games for the PC in the offing. We seem to have had a dearth of titles over the last couple of years but the genre is ideal for chilling out before bedtime.

Strange thing is, after being predominantly PC orientated games most golf titles have been surfacing on the consoles. Even Outlaw Golf 2 (I enjoyed the first one in a quirky sort of way) never made it to the PC.
 
yep looks like the "extensive online features" are via TWO even in the blurb on ea. looks like we are paying for online play peeps

This is the only exception to the console port rule for me. I hope its a console port of the xbox version because ok not same game version but same tiger woods game in general.

I really liked playing the tiger woods golf games on consoles like ps2 and xbox and 360 but when i got the pc version it was horrible controls. I like the button presses and i hated the move mouse to swing crap and all other parts of the game.

So if it was a direct console port for controls and needed a 360 pad i would be in favour. Tho AA would be nice and AF.
 
Got to second or third that. Not paying an ongoing sub for something I would regard as a standalone game which you dip into occasionally when the fancy takes you.
