Is there a sardine shortage?

You are seriously increasing your chances of heart problems with eating that many eggs I imagine, the cholesterol in 200+ eggs would be ridiculous.

Mate you need to do some reading and learn nutrition...the cholesterol in eggs is good cholesterol and on top of that I only eat egg whites which means I dont eat the yokes which means I'm not eating the fat or cholesterol, just protein.

Therefore 100% healthy.

A lot of people in todays society dont know much about nutrition, and a lot of people think eggs are bad for you, this is wrong...eggs are actually really good for you, they're one of the best sources of protein in the world...in the food industry we even use eggs to gage all other protein sources against because eggs are held to such a high standard because they have one of the best amino acid profiles going.

Choosing to eat meat or not to eat meat is a choice everyone needs to make, its a personal choice based on ones beliefs/nutritional facts/political views.

If you want to learn more, google is your friend.

Of course it's a choice, and I'd be interested to hear his reasons on why he chooses not to eat meat, yet eats fish.

He should still eat meat though. Food of the gods. :p

Tinned sardines have lots of cheap protein yes but they also have a lot of salt as well strangely, only takes a few cans a day to push you very near the 6g salt per day limit that seems to be their only catch.

if I ate meat I'd just eat stake 8 times a day instead,

Better not do that, you might get splinters:p

Why dont you eat red meat btw? Surely for someone that like nutrition you would know that you are possibly missing out on quite a lot of nutrition from not eating it?

Yeah I think am probably going to go buy tuna tomorrow instead,

Don't eat a lot of Tuna - tuna is a aggregator of Mercury.

EDIT: BTW for those of you who dont know, if you go to ASDA you can buy a tray of 30 medium eggs for £2.98, these are the cheapest eggs in britain!

Free range?

It would be truly poor form for a Pescetarian to buy cage produced eggs.

That much protein in your diet cant be good for you. It puts extra stress on your kidneys.

Body builders develop all kinds of health problems.

...All I can think is maybe we've fished them all out of the sea and run them to the brink of extinction.:eek::(:rolleyes:

Hmmm perhaps this is down to these damn bodybuilders eating 28 tins a week?

Looking at that diet, man Im glad I dont feel the need to pump myself up and show everyone how "hard" I am.

You can do what you like, but here comes my opinion:

You need to grow up and be more responsible with where you're getting your food. A chicken lays an egg not quite every day, so there must be two or three hundred chickens crammed in a shed somewhere making your incredibly cheap ASDA eggs. I wouldn't be happy with being responsible for so many miserable birds.

Hi there, I'm a bodybuilder and a pesceterian and for the past 5 weeks asda has stopped selling my sardines, and now today I've tried two other supermarkets that I have been getting them from for past 5 weeks and they've stopped selling them too including morrisons and NETTO's.

The ones I tried today said they've been discontinued but couldnt tell me anything more.

I been depending on these sardines too because I dont eat meat so all my protein comes from egg whites and fish.

And the thing is, these were healthy and fit into my weekly budget because one tin of sardines is 22g of protein and cost only 30 pence...so therefore I was buying 28 tins a week and eating 4 a day.

They were so cheap, and they were perfect for me.

Anyone else noticed supermarkets have stopped selling them, and have anymore information as to why?

Never heard of protien shakes??
