OcUK RR Day 12 Official Pictures & Dyno Graphs!

Yeah, I wasn't aware the dyno produced inaccurate readings in that case! I can't remember the outcome of all the runs I've seen with tiptronic boxes, I just remember TomO's Mercedes not giving full power because it was reaching the speed limiter :D

Well there's all sorts of other vehicle-specific reasons that could cause wrong reads, but that's just unfortunate. If you are hitting the speed limiter you can try using a lower gear, but then when you have something like an E55 you are probably not going to be able to prevent wheelspin without making the rollers very sticky indeed.

In terms of the automatics I feel a little uneasy about calling the readings 'wrong', they just require interpretation or correction, like the twin contact patch at the wheels readings. That one is 'solved' and I'd really like to see the issue of automatics 'solved' too!

Oh yeah I'm curious too! I'll make life simple by sticking to manuals for the forseeable future though, I think ;)

Mac,

If you still have issues I can clear all your faults via The INPA stuff I am now offering as a sideline, it's really easy to do and I its just fault clearing and you drive to me - it's free :)

I had 11 seperate fault codes after my RR :p

Sorry missed this Will - thanks for the offer. I was at my dealer and mentioned the power run - they said to swing by after I'd done it and they'd clear all the errors for me.

Just looking at the Porsche graph, does it really have that flatspot around 5200rpm or did it just slip on the rollers a bit or something?

Just to add, the heavier print lines were on low boost mode, but had anti lag switched on. The first run was "high boost" but actually it's only got more boost mid range, hence the higher torque, but same power figures.
Good to see that anti lag does make some difference and not just all noise.

Link to thread? Specs?

Who's was the yellow Cooper?

No thread was made, just a few posts about it.

Front mounted intercooler, smaller pulley, air filter, exhaust system, lots of suspension mods, AP racing brakes, carbon kevlar seats, aero body kit, plus lots more.

Cool little car.

Me.. and it..

Gibbo said its the way in which the cam profile changes around that point or something, and is common to most 997 'S' models graphs when run on a dyno....apparently not noticable 'on the road' in the same way. Personally I am curious to see if a remap would smooth that dip out and/or make some gains elsewhere, though I am certain warranty would say no :p

Like the sound of my car on the rollers, that scooby with anti-lag makes my popping exhaust sound a bit weak though :o :D

I would say you can feel the dip, only because you feel a kick just afterwards, not because you feel a noticable dip in power.

I wouldnt know, never managed to get a passenger ride...too big to go in the back of the 911 and other people were pushier than me :)

Did anyone take any videos of your mini outside by the way? The popping out of the exhaust with the decat is really quite impressive from outside the car :D
