OcUK RR Day 12 Official Pictures & Dyno Graphs!

I did actually see your post before the ninja edit :p

Did anyone take any videos of your mini outside by the way? The popping out of the exhaust with the decat is really quite impressive from outside the car :D

Thanks :D

I've got videos of it, but haven't even watched them yet. Others first and all that. I will probably do it later in the week :)

Looks like you all had a good day then, real shame I couldn't be there. I did consider coming down to the pub when I got back home but I didn't think it was worth it at that stage, my flight was a little over an hour late anyway ...also I was rather tired.

Perhaps next time I will run my JCW - it should put out around 210bhp in theory! :D

Sorry guys I didnt even take the camera out of the car, so no pics from me this time! :(

Good to catch up with you guys, and roll on next time! :)

Gibbo said its the way in which the cam profile changes around that point or something, and is common to most 997 'S' models graphs when run on a dyno....apparently not noticable 'on the road' in the same way. Personally I am curious to see if a remap would smooth that dip out and/or make some gains elsewhere, though I am certain warranty would say no :p

Like the sound of my car on the rollers, that scooby with anti-lag makes my popping exhaust sound a bit weak though :o :D

Take a look at Solid's graph, you will also see a similar dip, it seems something all 911's do, as if Porsche purposely placed it there, like Kosta says you don't feel a dip/drop in power but you do feel a kick.

No doubt a remap would fix/improve this, but then you have no warranty.

I've been thinking today that after my passenger rides out in the E60 and 911 just how fun a good handling car can be and how thrashing cars around country roads is more fun than than being squashing into your chair as you power up straight roads. So in light of this I won't be after anymore power for a while and I'll be focusing on handling mods. It's not as if 400bhp and 0-60 in 5.0s is slow anyway.

Things I'll be doing over the next few months include:-

Ripshifter - Much shorter gear shifts and increased accuracy. The standard box is sloppy as hell.

Quick Rack - Much faster streering as the standard car is very slow to turn.

Road Response Pack - Polyurethane bushes on the front and full geo setup.

Rear End Pack - Polyurethane bushes and subframe alignment

Pedders Suspension kit - Sharpens the handling some more and lowers

Full AP Brakes - 6pots and 363mm on the front and 4pots and 342mm on the rear

and finally just to help improve acceleration a 3:9:1 diff. Brings the 0-60 to under 5s nd also improves in gear acceleration.

Just a few for you there guys :)

Sorry to anyone i missed. I didn't get the camera out at the pub as i couldnt be bothered, and if you got there after the start of the rolling road then tough **** :p

Sorry to those who are perhaps missing, i went to the petrol station to get some food and whoever it was i asked to press the button for me forgot :D
