Amy Winehouse found dead

Is it?

I must tell all the people I know who serve and/or live in various parts of the world that I can no longer use FB to keep in touch easily because it is considered socially unacceptable to do so currently.

then again, maybe I won't, considering who the real retards are.

Email, text, phone, FB is a platform for self importance banality. And I have interesting friends!

Difficult to phone/text and in some cases email to some friends, especially those who move about a lot for reasons you need not know.

You seem to be a bit obsessed with your own self-importance yourself frankly.

eh? what makes you say that mate?:(

You are basically judging everyone who uses FB as bland, conceited narcissists whose social circles are populated by boring, self obsessed people.

Seems rather pretentious of you to make such sweeping judgements and that is why I said it.

I'm on FB

Personally i hate it and i've had more arguments on FB but i'm able to share photo's and talk about my day to some that i don't want to call up every 5mins :p.

One thing i DON'T agree on is people having 5 million friends, only have those people that you know ffs

I use FB to talk and share with those close friends who I cannot see or contact easily. Mainly those friends still in service who it is difficult to contact via more conventional methods.

It is also useful for organising social events and such like.

I agree that having a million friends who you have no intention of actually being friends with is pretty banal, but tarring everyone with the same brush is simply wrong and conceited in itself.

People need to actually live their lives rather than live them through FB imo.

Why people feel the need to report on the mundane is beyond me.

I'm sorry if this grates...But lets face it its the truth in most cases.

Anyway my remark was more tongue in cheek...If FB rocks your world then good luck to you.

Who says that people who use facebook do not live their lives, not everyone lives vicariously through FB and it is just a tool like anything else.

I think it is pretty boorish to suggest that because I use FB that I have not lived an interesting or full life or that my friends are all boring narcissists. Tongue in cheek or not.

This thread is way beyond fresh !

Some vile people on this forum bordering on psychopathic, as i should have realised on the Madeline Mcann thread !!
