not crashed, but i cant lanch it from origin now, i have to lanuch origin then go the the battlelog website, if i click play in origin i get an empty browesr window and some arror message.

All of these things are fine as long as they are optional and filterable. I want to be able to search for servers filtered for spotting, health regen, minimap, hardcore, server size, game type, latency etc.

yeah people are judging based on Rush gameplay. Now for me I love rush and think conquest is too unfocused but thats the advantage of BF you can do both.

Are you using an nvidia card?

Mine was crashing a lot, then i found a post that seems to fix it for some people.

This worked for me so give it a shot... I was getting the random freeze and crashing like many others.. Since I did this I've been able to play all morning...

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Nvidia GTX295...

Download the Quadro driver here -

Download the modified nv_disp.inf file here -

1.) Run the Nvidia driver install. It will fail but it will unpack into c:\nvidia
2.) Go to C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\275.65\WinVista_Win7_64\International\Display.Driver and copy nv_disp.inf here. It will prompt to replace the existing file, do so...
3.) Go to C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\275.65\WinVista_Win7_64\International and run setup.exe

this game is defo more like bc2.1 and is nothing like moh you will be glad to know there is a really bad choke point onthe second mcom point

The community is already split, this makes the game enjoyable for a larger number of people. Most of these options already exist, my point is you cannot filter servers based on them.

I do hope the server search/filtering is improved. Its a little irritating at times in BC2, especially the search. And also it would be good if the friends list is improved so you can at least have more than 2 friends...

Just out of interest from the lucky people playing the alpha, what kind of performance/settings are you getting out of your rigs?

I'm assuming that they've limited the detail options you can select so far? Just looking to gauge system requirements for the game, wanting to build a new system to run BF3 nicely.

I've always had a ****ty system in the past when BF2 and others first came out, don't want that to be the case this time round!

You won't need a monster PC to play it. A quad core with a decent gfx card will do just fine.

I wouldn't say that, you seem to die much quicker in this than you ever did in BC2, and the health regen speed is probably double that of BC2. Definately seems MOH inspired from that respect.

12gb ram
6950 @ stock 810mhz gpu 1250mhz gpu memory

Graphic settings in game set to auto

getting around 75 frames per second in heavily congested areas and around 90 ish in wide open areas. According to fraps. It has occasionally dropped to around 40ish when being battered by the apc

Err... did you ever test damage in BC2? Pretty much any rifle took your away half your health within 150m.

Back in R10, shots dropped as more people connected.

What about getting shot in the head? How many shots can you take before dropping from that?

I bought BF2 on day one and enjoyed it immensely but may wait for things to pan out with this.

The graphics are fine for me, BC2 style with tweaks and on a grander scale. But I have reservations on the gameplay - that 3D spotting thing looks dumb! Way to kill the sense of realism, of course it's not ArmA but they really do appear to be catering for the casual gamer.
