Jurassic Park 4

So at Comic Con Spielberg has said JP4 is going to happen over the next couple of years, and is also rumoured to be the start of a new trilogy of JP films.

Not really sure what to make of this at all. Not sure how it can be a good thing.

Thoughts?

I remember when first JP film came out, it was something to watch, something you would talk with your friends how awesome it was.

They really should have kept it to one film as looking back now not even that was that good

Original was memorable for being a technological tour de force and quite a good adventure movie, now in this day of Avatar et all it will have to be something special to stand out.

Really?!? I still think JP1 is one of the best all time monster flicks - and a nice mix of animatronic/CGI, not all this modern day all CGI cack.

Agreed - as someone who was obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid, there was a part of me that was dumbstruck when the T-Rex first appeared in JP1 - never before had they looked so 'real' on screen.

This will be fairly awful I'm sure, but also probably a watchable family romp-a-thon.

I don't think anybody is doubting the cinematic excellence of the original (and what a score!) but this is just another Spielberg series ruination in the making.

Absolutely and still remains as good as it was then.

I'm sure we won't be disappointed by this one.

JP is an amazing film. Great story, great acting, great score and phenomenal special effects. If there's ever a franchise to make use of 3D it's Jurassic Park.

Oh hell yes!

Still watch JP1 and 2 a lot, but 3 was cack tbh.

T-Rex + car chase + 3D = win

Hmm, not sure what to make of this.
The first one is one of my favourite films (if not most favourite film) - despite its flaws. I hope they don't drag this one into the gutter.
2 was also pretty fantastic in its own way, but I never really warmed to 3.

In 2 minds tbh.

Part of me wants more Dinosaurs on the rampage but another part of doesn't want another JPIII.

I also think JP1 holds as much magic today as it did back then.

It still has some of the best special effect yet seen in any film and the soundtrack is one of the best ever heard in cinema imo.

I'd like a higher age rating Jurrassic Park. I enjoyed the first but I'd like something a bit more adult, although of course that won't happen.
