ebay are scumbags

My brother didn't pay his ebay fee's, so his account got suspended and since I'm linked to him, mine was also suspended.

He claimed the fee's were unreasonable due to the buyers not actually paying him, but that's another story.

Anyway, I contacted ebay on chat and they said they'd unsuspend both immediately once the fee was paid, no quibble.

So I coughed up rather than mess around, so ebay got their ill deserved money.

Now ebay are claiming some other random issues's with the accounts, basically refusing to unblock the accounts.

I'm really bloody annoyed that they bare face lied to me, getting my cash and just sodding off.

I tried to ask to speak to the manager a few times, but each time they just disconnected me.

If the buyer doesnt pay you get the FVF back anyway, which is almost all of the "fee" in most cases.

Depends if they are investigating a suspected dupe account or shill bidding.

from what OP said it's just that he was connected to his brothers and that's the only reason and they were only doing it for him not paying fees

if they didnt pay you why dont you just open unpaid item case .then you get your fees back

I can't think of a logical reason why we're still suspended, and if there WERE more issues then why did they not raise them before, instead of outright lying and saying that the accounts would be immediately reinstated once the fee's were paid....

Looking at the OP rant lets try and condense this thread down to the points and facts that actually matter.
Your accounts are linked, your brother decides not to pay his fees then of course everything is going to get suspended.
EBay aren't after "ill deserved money" they are after money you owe them.
If your brother didn't bother reporting somebody not paying then of course he still will have been charged the selling fee - go shout at him, not EBay.

So, to the only real matter in hand here:
What exactly are the "other random issues".
I find it hard to believe this is how EBay described them and did not tell you how to resolve them.

How are accounts linked? AFAIK you can't link two ebay accounts but you can use the same paypal account. If that's the case then it seems reasonable they suspend all accounts linked to the same paypal address for non paying.

Why didn't your brother open an unpaid claim? Clearly something is amiss with the details.

ebay takes your money, paypal takes your money, then you get scammed by the buyer, then they close your account, they got it worked out

My brother was entitled not to pay the fee's, the items he sold (for which he was liable for fee's) were not sold due to inherent issues. Thus the £50 in fee's were not really an issue. (listing fee's are not a problem).

How long was it from the time you sold the item/s unpaid for to having your accounts suspended?
