I can't believe this is referred to as an "illness". It just isn't it's self inflicted. An illness is something you have no control over.
I wasn't a giant fan of her music anyway and so this will be no great loss to me. I do feel for her family and friends, especially to die so young, but let's be honest, it was to be expected unless she changed her lifestyle. I very much doubt she could have made any coherrent songs over the last year or two anyway.
I suspect her song "Rehab" will go down as one of the most ironic singles of all time, as opposed to iconic.
yeah, and she even goes off stage for some reason, probably forgot where she was. I still love the performance though, oh and so do the 100,000 people in the crowd![]()
In a car crash way, but for crying out loud there are much more deserving artists for you attention. She was awful and i think she was liked mostly by 'Cool Cats' that liked her ironically

I suspect her song "Rehab" will go down as one of the most ironic singles of all time, as opposed to iconic.
i·ro·ny1 /ˈaɪrəni, ˈaɪər-/
[ahy-ruh-nee, ahy-er-]
–noun, plural -nies.
1. the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, “How nice!” when I said I had to work all weekend.
2. Literature .
a. a technique of indicating, as through character or plot development, an intention or attitude opposite to that which is actually or ostensibly stated.
b. (especially in contemporary writing) a manner of organizing a work so as to give full expression to contradictory or complementary impulses, attitudes, etc., especially as a means of indicating detachment from a subject, theme, or emotion.
No she wasn't awful![]()

No, it won't, because that's not what irony means. Damn it, is it really such a hard definition to understand?
Really wish people would stop using words when they have no idea what they mean. It's fatuous.
Schadenfreude - pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others ...
It is not uniquely a characteristic of people posting on this forum, nor I suspect, even unique to the English.
You do know she was capable of playing instruments right?
She was both a fantastic singer and musician. People have forgotten because for the last six years, her personal life took over from her music.
She was a disgusting person i have no sympathy for her. I dont want people like that as role models for our children they should rightfully pay a price and now she had. Many more to follow here's hoping.

He should have gone first.....useless breather of air that he is.
I do feel for her family, but for her, hell no.
She chose to live her life the way she wanted. Fair enough, but she paid the consequences and to her selfish end.....now her family are suffering.
Anyone thinking that someone else is to blame needs to wise up. She shoved that crap up her nose and the alcohol from those bottles down her throat.
She was a decent singer, good voice, nothing more imho (accepted some people disagree). Certainly no stage presence, unless you count her drunken dancing and relying on the audience to finish the songs for her!
Just angers me that its all over the news and people are devastated....
27 years old, 2 albums.....self inflicted train wreck of a life, nothing else!
End of.
Docherty....beware you ******!
I completely agree with this, her own fault. People should be concerned about what happened in Norway rather than this boozed up druggie.
You're either a troll or incredibly stupid
You didn't even know the women.
Pay a price for what?
What harm did she do to anyone other than herself?

pay the price for being a scumbag on drugs, i cant stand those idiots that take drugs they deserve everything they get, the dregs of our society let me tell you.
You are one bitter and twisted individual.
Education + Life Experience would have equalled a thread with less pages I think.
