say I if you jailbreak

I don't need access to root, don't need to customize, don't need to install cracked applications (I pay for the applications used.). I have tried jailbreaks and unlocks but I purchased an unlocked iPhone in the first place so no need to use ultrasn0w or anything like that any more.

that's fair enough, i rarely use the root access but i do use it, i love customizing, i use cracked apps for trying them out as apple don't offer any form of refund or trial period which is a waste of money, and please don't give me the whole "it's only 0.69p" thing or "use the trial version", it's not just 0.69p its 10x 0.69p or 100x 0.69p which is a monumental waste of money, you may be a millionaire but i am not. As for the trails, well they are next to useless!

For instance i tried log me in ignition and vnc viewer to see which was the best, vnc is £5 and log me in is £18 i tried both and bought log me in as it is far superior!

all my cydia apps and themes are bought and paid for as well.

as for the unlocking thing yes it is better to get an unlocked phone but they cost much more than a locked one!

£6.90 makes you a millionaire? Whoo-hoo!

brb, off to buy a Ferrari and flat in Mayfair.

Wow that must have made you feel big saying that, you failed to point out the 100x 0.69p, if you have £69 to blow on apps do it and prove it! Until then keep your quick wit and bad put downs for the playground!

Not saying anything i dont jailbreak that is all. Some people do.

I only jailbreak because some of my cydia apps do things that a normal iphone wouldnt do ie the closed eco system and plus i have far more customisation available to me but saying that i need to get round to jb'ing my iphone 4 with the latest 4.3.3 firmware...im still on 4.3.1 i think:p

Your years behind mate. 4.3.5 just been released today.

why what benefits will that bring/?

All JBs are the same output so theres no need to worry.

it 4.3.5 now, unless you have your shsh for your iphone your stuck on 4.3.1!

there are many many benefits, once jailbroken you can make the device do a mulitude of things apple dont want you to do with it and install apps apple dont want you to, like

bitesms- when you recieve a message on an iphone and you choose to reply it will take you out of what ever you are doing and into the message app to send a response. bitesms allows to make and reply to a text anywhere w/o taking you out of what ever you are doing.

sbsettings- how annoying is it having to keep going into your settings to turn on/off blue tooth or wifi? with sbsettings you can do it from anywhere

infolock- on the lock screen you have your favourites, which you can choose to call. facetime or message. calenders, messages, emails, twitter

so all jalibreaks are the same then or is there a better jailbreak than the others

All jailbreaks in princaple are the same, but some are tethered and some are untethered.

tethered- everytime you need to restart or reboot your idevice you have to have it connected to a computer and perform a tethered boot.

untethered- you can restart and reboot your idevice w/o being connected to a computer

All JBs are the same output so theres no need to worry.

your wrong they are not all the same see above, its dangerous to say so if prople dont understand what they are doing!

Oooh a rolleyes, what a surprise....yes im well behind because i havent updated my jailbreak since 4.3.1 which was a few mths ago or something like that...i just havent got around to doing it yet but seeing as its a tethered jailbreak...i think ill pass on it for the time being.

And no not all jb's are the same...quite surprised you would say such a silly thing like that.

No, I mean - the benefits of upgrading his from 4.3.1 JB to 4.3.3 or 4.3.5 JB or whatever, I mean are there any benefits over a JB later OS than an earlier one... other than the benefits the 4.3.5/3 whatever brings anyway?

you can make the device do a mulitude of things apple dont want you to do with it and install apps apple dont want you to, like

yeah I know I have had jailbreaked iphone /ipad since I got them last year

bitesms- when you recieve a message on an iphone and you choose to reply it will take you out of what ever you are doing and into the message app to send a response. bitesms allows to make and reply to a text anywhere w/o taking you out of what ever you are doing.

bitesms is pretty damn good. If only they would implement a T9 keyboard . I'm sure most people who say 'oh no, i don't jailbreak becasue I'm pure and apple know best etc etc,' would change their mind after seeing bitesms etc

sbsettings- how annoying is it having to keep going into your settings to turn on/off blue tooth or wifi? with sbsettings you can do it from anywhere
Installed this but tbh never use it. How often do I change mysettings? About never, that's how often.

infolock- on the lock screen you have your favourites, which you can choose to call. facetime or message. calenders, messages, emails, twitter
maybe I'll check it, but does't sound that useful to me.

Safari download manager
ifile
iblacklist
some other notification app i can't remember are some of the apps I use.

tethered- everytime you need to restart or reboot your idevice you have to have it connected to a computer and perform a tethered boot.

untethered- you can restart and reboot your idevice w/o being connected to a computer

yeah, I still can't see why anybody would use a tethered jailbreak

iPhone 4 jailbroken on 4.3.3 with Redsn0w. No point upgrading to the later ones at the moment.

4.3.4 fixed the bug used for jailbreakme to work, though being jailbroken you could just use the patch comex realised to fix the bug.

4.3.5 is a certificate issue and sounds like it will be damn rare to happen.

Will probably upgrade to iOS 5b4 at some point in the future, might do that tonight actually.

your wrong they are not all the same see above, its dangerous to say so if prople dont understand what they are doing!

No, what I meant was the outcome is either to JB the phone to install cracked apps, install apps not approved by Apple, install/play with themes, get root, or unlock to any network.

This is the only outcome people want to JB for no other reason.

But yeh, 4.3.5 is out now. I have not backed up my SHSH and I am not bothered about JB the iPhone.

Been JB'ing since the iPhone 3G days. Can't live without SBSSettings or FiveIcon Dock. With iOS4, Lockinfo got added to that list, and then NotifiedPro - which is way better than iOS5's notification (w t f are the status bar icons apple?) system imo.

This is 4.3.3.

Lockscreen
Springboard with Fiveicondock + stock icons replaced
Notified Pro via status bar swipe down
Incoming notification

There's loads of good JB apps out there, you just have to avoid bloated junk like Winterboard and of course overloading your OS with too many mobile substrates (background apps). I keep things nice and simple on my iP4.
