I did enjoy STO for a good amount of time (as people here probably remember). TOR, however, is in a completely different league. Yes there are flaws, but it is still looking pretty good right now.

Just out of curiosity, I've seen people say this loads of times over the years...I dont understand...what is the big magic power the game company hold over beta testers that scares them so much to not share info/pics/videos...
I've always thought...if I were to beta test something, I wouldnt care, I'd share all with all...it's a game, why does it matter?
Can some explain?

You sign a contract saying that you wont share anything you find out while in the beta with anybody not in the beta. If they find you breaking it(Which they would if you posted lots of screenshots, videos etc.) they will remove you from the beta and could if they really wanted to take you to court, as you would be breaking the terms of a legal document.
What classes you played? got some vids/screens or info about skills/talents?
I did not take any due to NDA.
I did play Jedi Consular then both Jedi Sage,Jedi Shadow,Commando and Jedi Knight,think I will roll Jedi Sage and Combat medic(Commando class) .
Troooper is quite fun,I actually prefered Jedi consular class over Knight,just more fun with range force powers etc...rather then Knight which is more melee tank class.

Well now you've registered a CD key yes.
But normally a beta account doesnt mean much to most people, I would have thought, you dont usually have any money involved and just always surprised how seriously people take not sharing information.
I just always thought it was strange and I would have thought there'd be loads of people posting videos and pictures all over the net but doesnt seem to be the case.
EDIT: Like for example, it would have been good if someone had recorded them playing from level 1-10, everything they did, the whole game and then uploaded it to net or maybe a whole flashpoint or a space mission or something.

I did say earlier level 22 on both Commando and Sage,I took my time and did not play everyday.

Betacake have been very selective with their shots, I suspect a lot more have been sent to them.
I didn't post much as I didn't want to push it too much - but i am using a different account for release and can't be bothered with anymore beta stuff anyway.

Caved in, pre ordered on cool shop. I've ordered from them before and a little worried as the game they sent wasn't our region but I think it stated it wouldn't be on that order.
Still would have prefered it being single player game like the previous two 8(
