I think you're right to be slightly miffed, but I would approach it less like this:

"*sniff* you guys were well mean to me on my Birthday

"

and more like

"Royal gits, leaving me in the most expensive taxi!

"

It shouldn't really be a big deal.

No I agree, it wasn't the money so much that bothered me. However, it was like you say the fact that not a one, bothered to check we were okay at getting back

Sums it up nicely. In the grand scheme of things you're making a little mountain out of a mole hill. I'd probably think 'Thanks guys' but really wouldn't care enough to let it bother me.

They probably assume you can do maths and knew 7 were in that tax and so there would be 3 people remaining. ie no problem, why mention it.

Not really sure why everybody's harping on about 25p to be honest, that's how much extra it would have cost one of the guys to stay with the other 3, not how much extra the OP had to shell out because there were 3 of them and not 4.

sounds kinda harsh... would have been far better a 5/5 split or a 6/4 split... 3 people is kind of a sucky number to get a taxi with, especially since it was for your bday

have i read the OP wrong?- the way i read it, is that if the friends in the 7 person taxi had split up, those people would only have had to pay an extra 25p?...- presuming the OP payed a lot more 'cus he only had 3 people in a taxi... based on the responses ive clearly misunderstood

If he was on his own then fair enough he has reason to be annoyed but he was with 2 mates. Its not asif he was stranded with no money and no way to get home he just had to pay slightly more.

Never seen anybody who posts in Ocuk forum requesting for permission to get annoyed.

I though anger was instant but if you have to first gather opinions before getting annoyed qualifies for the Moron thread.

I imagine the turn on the face if i told the Op that now its ok you get annoyed
