XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 Single Slot 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Stalker & AVP Games

AMD Athlon II X3 Tri Core 450 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail

Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-US2H 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard

OCUK EZCool NA-705 Case - Black (500w PSU)

OcUK Value 5.1 PCI Sound Card

Akasa AK-FN051 80mm Smart Fan (Blue)

These are parts I'm taking from my old computer:

2GB RAM

Basic optical drive

320GB hard drive

So will the 500w PSU provided with the case be enough to run this spec?

Thanks in advance,
Billy

You will need some adapters:
The 5770 needs a PCI-E 6pin plug which the PSU doesn't have. So you'll need a molex to PCI-E adapter
The PSU only has 1 SATA adapter. So you'll need some Molex to SATA adapters for your optical drive / HDDs.

The PSU in the bundle which Stulid suggested has all cables needed.

500W is enough, but I'd strongly advise a better quality PSU.
Even the Corsair CX430, whilst not an amazing unit, has enough power for that spec and is better than the OcUK value unit or the Elite Power 500W.

Should be, as its all low power stuff, but the most important part of a PC is its PSU so try and get a better quality unit.

Can you afford this case+PSU bundle - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-225-CM&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=29

Thanks! The problem is that I have a limit of £250 for the whole system.

At the moment the cost is £245 incl. Shipping and VAT

Is there any of the parts I have selected that could be cut back to make them cheaper while still getting good quality?

Thanks for the MoBo but the stuff is still over £250 (£274)

Are fans for the case really that "necessary"? And are there any other parts I could cut back on?

I get £265

But this motherboard doesnt support 125W processors, so any upgrades will mean you can only fit a 95W CPU maximum into it.

The MSI board does support all CPU's.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll go with that final build with the MoBo that only supports 95W CPUs. If I ever upgrade, the chances are I'll upgrade the MoBo aswell. (Either that or I'll just save up some more pocket money!)

Thank you for your help and support stulid.

One last question. Is the CPU I'm getting 95W?

Thank you,
Billy
