I'd go back to a time before velcro was invented, and invent velcro. Result: rich but through my own 'inventiveness' and 'hard work' ;-)
 
Money, it's all about the money, oh god what I'd do if I didn't have such a lack of money. The rest would be too dangerous to mess with! D:
 
I'd go back in time to the early 90's and stop myself accidentally recording Robot Wars over that really good porno i had just got off my mate.

If a time machine was ever invented wouldn't we already know it will be invented?

Unless of course they only built one or two and never let anyone know they visited...

I think although I'd be pooing my pants I'd go back to the triassic or createous periods or to any pre-industrial age and take with me a huge science kit to measure air quality etc. God I'm such a geek.

I'd avoid 400-1700 as if you were caught you'd probably be burned at the stake.

I'd probably go back to some of my more formative years and try and kick myself into shape (not physical, just generally). Though then again I have enjoyed all the multitude of experiences I've had as a result of the mistakes or chances I have taken and I would worry that I'd lose those experiences.

It's hard not to go down the "lottery" route - as in France and other countries they had lotteries which could have helped fund things... it seems a bit crass though using such a gift solely for money - furthermore, who is to say that by the mere fact of you going back in time the numbers will be the same? You've altered the past just by being there, buying that extra ticket might be enough to cause the whole time line to change?!

I'd love to go back to medieval times and experience what it was like, and curious as to how we survived and lived. Then again the vicotrian times, or the times of the revolution in France would have been fascinating too.
 
I'd like to see how the Nascar lines were created and by whom. Would also be great to see the constructions in Machu Pichu (the alien runways and landing pads) before they crumbled due to natural disasters.

The scary thing would be going back so far and not being able to come back. In which case you end up being your own great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great .......................................................... grandfather:eek:
 
If I was a person who know all about the space shuttles and modern technology, I would go back to the 50's and give them that tech along with modern day computer blueprints. If they used that and had the advancement of what we have now, when I came back to the day I left, the world could be more advanced. Either that or we are all dead
