Guess the repair cost

You're all acting like he is giving away a £1m prize for the winner??!?! He said bledd's guess was close, not an absolute statement that it was exactly £550...

I was trying to inject some dry humour into the thread by quoting the 458+VAT figure as that was based upon bledd.s' figure of 550 but I got told good and proper, plus things are never funny if you have to explain :)
 
Scrap the car and buy another one if it was £100

Similar condition cars are going for more than £600 on Piston heads I got a good deal as the couple I bought it off we're quite attached and didn't want to see it scrapped. besides that price is for a body shop to do the work, actual cost of the materials parts etc is less than £200. Oh and theres the fact its not the sort of car that's going to depreciate.
