New Cheap run about...

The darker part of the dash is actually darker than the picture shows. The light colour upholstry is far worse.... hence seat covers going on.

At the end of the day, wanted something as above, as I plan to keep if 5 years till we pay off the Merc so I can buy something much nicer.

Why on earth did you buy that thing over 1500 quids worth of Mondeo or something?

Cheaper to insure and tax???
Already had 2 Mondanos previously both 1.8 Mk1 and Mk2

Surely there was something equally cheap to tax and insure out there without resorting to a Kia, a chaved Kia to boot.

Anyway im turning over a new leaf and not arguing no more, so if your happy, im happy :)

Each to their own and all... I went to see it as the wife spotted it, was not expecting it to be as nice as I think it is... real comfy seats, quiet and it's different!
Yeah, not going to light any fires, but then I'm no young boy racer anymore, this will simply get me from a-b without drama and save me cash in the long run....

Why is it every post in motors section is Mondeo or BMW blah blah.... there is a thing called Choice, and I chose something different...

A modified Kia is certainly different lol, surely you can't be surprised that people find it odd?

I didn't see any posts of BMW or Mondeo in your other thread.

The Bean tin is actually not too bad, at 70mph there is a low hum, but far from loud like most bean tins...

Once I get my Vibe CBR 250 twin 12" fitted, it won't be noticable at all LOL

I think the BMW thing is a urban myth plenty people on here got them, they dont get suggested as this weeks star buy often though.

The Mondeo thing, well thats because its about the best value/driving thing you can buy for 1500-2500 quid if all you want is a car from A to B.

Which for -£2000 would be older, higher mileage, tax and insurance not too mention a tad slower???

I just meant that most Vectras I see have racing stickers, exhausts and spoilers on cars that do 0-60 in 11 seconds, hence the :p

I'll stop having a dig now! :o

I'm not knocking the Mondeo, like I said, I've owned two in the past and loved them, only sold tha last one because some muppet in an X5 decided to use it as a means to stop his hidious tank of a machine...

The only 1.6 within 200 miles of me on autotrader, for -£2000, was younger but had 177000 on the clock, not good to last me 5 years trouble free...

I kind of like it because its different. It looks MGZS/Accordy from the side. Nothing wrong with that, ok it wasn't a bargain, and i'd get rid of the exhaust, but other than that not bad.
