"Owners of Medal of Honor will also receive an invitation to the beta for another highly-anticipated EA shooter, Battlefield 3™. Battlefield 3 is the latest entry in the award-winning shooter franchise from DICE in Stockholm, Sweden."

I think weve been done even though this is still quoted on the steam page.

I think you are right, as I found a thread on their forums where someone asked if they would get access because the store page says and the response was something like "Only owners of the limited edition will receive closed beta access".

Anyway I have asked them myself and if not I will push for a refund.

I found out something interesting about my BF3 that I thought relevant to share!

I have had no end of crashes and bad FPS even on low settings (between 29-55) and I just assumed it was the dodgy factory overclock on my card (I have to turn it down for BC2 to not WSOD).

But even lowering the clocks didn't seem to stop the crashes and it obviously wouldn't help the FPS.

I also tried the "fix" that someone posted on the ea forum, that didn't work at all and just caused me to boot into safe mode, delete all drivers, use driver sweeper and put the original ones back on.

Now, I have two monitors like I assume most of you have, if not more.

My 24" being plugged into the HDMI slot via a DVI converter and my 19" being plugged into the DVI slot via a VGA converter.

I unplugged both monitors and just plugged in my 24" straight into the DVI slot (no converters).

I started BF3 and I now have between 55-85 FPS on high, it hasn't crashed once in an hour and it also hasn't crashed between games.

yup thegoon84 was having crashes while running his 3 screens, told him to drop it to one and it worked fine

Exciting stuff, ordered a nice new rig to play this on and also pre-ordered the game from the OCUK shop (cheapest I could find!).

Roll on BF3.

As BF3 probably isnt going to be on Steam I might aswell order from here. I was wondering if OcUk can guarentee realese day delivery. When it comes to games, there is nothing worse than all the hype and build up, only to find that when you get home from work on release day, no game is on your doormat waiting to be installed

Oh please let it be on steam, EA must be mad if they dont.

edit : Just thought, it is EA :(

It isn't going to be on Steam afaik.

I read somewhere that they thinking of not supporting steam for bf3, to me that seems mental.
I guess its EA's way of forcing you to a, install origin, or b, purchase a box copy.
I dont want to install origin, and I would rather not have to put in the dvd every time I want to play.

I'd rather digitally have it, but i'd also rather buy it from OcUK considering it's the cheapest i've found it when it's on the weekly offer.
