*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Funny thing is, I could now just order from coolshop and still have my early access :p

I might still change my mind about the CE, but I can always order a cheaper version :)

I have a question. I ordered the CE from Game(over the counter), paid the £20 deposit they were asking. Got my box with the code inside, registered on the TOR website, can confirm that its says “ You have registered the CE edition on the 21 July 2011” etc etc.

So what’s stopping me not paying the balance off when the game launches, unless I want to go collect the actual box with all the goodies in and then pay the balance off.

I was thinking about this earlier

Because you will need the retail key :)

I am still waiting for my preorder key from Game (then again, I only ordered a few hours ago and don't need it anyway).

VIP Lounge is like a club/bar, the store will most likely have items with comparable stats to those you find in normal vendors, but look different and are unique to CE editions. So expect snazzy looking capes/robes/helmets and weapons, as well as vanity stuff.

Lifetime sub, unlikely, they want this game to last a decade so they'd probably lose money.

I believed the £5 was a deposit deducted from the total amount.

Yip and here he is, dodgy looking bloke if you tell me.

Yep, just looked on Origin.

Game = £39.99
Early Access = £5.00

Coining it in. Especially when there's no guarantee as to when you'll be able to start the early access either.

There was a quote floating around the official forums (from a devs twitter) that for those entering the code on the 3rd day of preordering, they would have as little as 2 days in the headstart. No idea how true this is.

Got my code from Game yesterday for the collectors edition

Just out of curiosity, do Game take your money right away or wait until the release itself?

Also regarding the early access, I wouldn't bother. When DCUO went live, crikey did they have multiple server crashes left, right and centre. But then, that is becoming the norm for MMOs, isn't it? lol.

LOTRO was brilliant infact they had it started a day before the early access. I remember being on there and everyone was like is this a mistake lets keep quiet about this:p

Sorry to ask what's probably been asked about a million times, but what spec is likely to run this well?

i3-2120, 4GB RAM and a GTX 460 be ok?
