See this whole footballer thing grates on me, who gives 2 ****s what footballers or their wives drive?

They are just the same as anyone with a few quid, if you avoided cars that people with a few quid bought, once you accumulate a few quid you'd still be driving a Mondeo.

I see what you mean, but there's a difference between this:

and this:

and I can tell you something, if I had a "few quid" I'd get a proper car, not some chavved-up SUV

Not saying it's a bad thing, just that it would sell well to people like footballers etc....

Wasn't it Boxster sales to hairdressers like me a Cayenne sales to footballers and drug dealers that saved Porsche a while back.

How are they "chaved up" ? That Bentley SUV will drive better than 99.7% of cars on the road and have more road presense than the remaining .3%, nothing chav about it, its just ugly thats all.

No because all that was another load of ****, hairdressers earn 200 quid a week so they dont buy boxsters and cayennes sell to anyone with the money to buy them.

And drug dealers the ones with any brains and real money drive an 09 Mondeo, something they aint in a million years getting stopped in, forget the ****ing jokers that fit the stereo type in a Range Rover sport.

It's not so much that it's ugly (although it definitely is), it's the fact that it looks like someone's modified a normal suv by sticking bits of various prestigious cars all over it, hence the chav comment.

Im not seeing that to be honest, but its all in the eye of the beholder.

I guess so. To me it looks like an audi q7 with some continental gt and old merc parts stuck on the front.

Yes but inside it will be Bentley, and it will have that wonderful W12 turbo engine, which believe me is just superb in every way.

Anyway it is what it is what can we do :)

Maybe, maybe not... he was a foward thinker for his time and was a brilliant engineer/designer...

He was and believe me im old so i like old, but sadly without the backing of a big company, these niche companies just die.

Yes I agree, but I'm an oldie as well... in fact I knew him, I was his paperboy and had many a good discussion with him... unfortunately he died when the motor industry was in it's youth and we will never know what may have happened...
