Just been looking through my ocuk receipts as I'm selling a psu on here so need to find it.

Over the past 3 years have made 20 orders and spent just short of 5k wtf am I doing!

That's just spend here as well I'd hate to think how much I've spent elsewhere.

Anybody else been scared when looking at ocuk receipts?

im not that scared to look at receipts really because, although i buy a lot, i sell it as soon as im bored - i like shiny things :p

Ive spent a fortune with OcUK over the past 10 years. I think I spend an average of 1-1.5K per year with them! Although thats being reduced as I have more PCs than I could possibly need :D. (i5 latest, i3 old tech, mini itx S775 something or other, i3 whs v1, and a laptop)

I have depressing ebay sales sometimes when i clear out all the kit i bought over say 2 years, some may have had a few minutes use overall as well :( used to be about 2 grand yearly on my personal stuff, under a grand now usually.

I think if you're going to be building rigs, you try not to look back at the expenditures in the long hall, just makes you feel... bad.

Just pretend it isn't happening and keep spending cash, always the best approach!

As long as it doesn't put you in debt, forces you to live on a diet of dry bread and you get joy out of your spend then don't worry about it mate!

I place emphasis on the debt bit though, I only buy what I can afford at the time.

yeh bothers my wife more than it bothers me and I guess I have made some 20-30% of it back selling stuff on.

Prolly spent more on fags and booze though :) Christ I'd be rich if I gave up pc's, booze and fags...

Yep those women also seem to cost us a fair share over our relationship spans huh... if only there was a cheaper option, marry the rig?

My mother suffers from OCD and about 2 years ago she had a mass obsession with IKEA. Unknowingly on her days off she would stay there pretty much throughout the day buying stuff, it wasn't untill my father realised that aload of money had somehow seeped through that she stopped.

She spent about £4k in 2 months.

That's what... 6 months rent? :)

It's not that bad really. If you get into cars, then that's a whole different ball game. Granted, it's harder to pull girls with a 580SLI and a 2600K@5GHz watercooled.

GIRLS I said...

£5k.. + more elsewhere. What on?

Do you think you've got the most out of your system?

In the last three years I've bought a 5870 + waterblock, an SSD, few compression fitting .. so around £700.

Q6600 system still running fine at 3.6GHz and playing all the games at high res with plenty of AA.
