Yes, it can be useful for certain things, but the problem is the majority of players that I have encountered today are just abusing the prone system if you know what I mean, especially the defenders (an even more so in the subway tunnels). I have had to pretty much crawl along the ground most of the way (first base) in order to get near the coms (also due to the spotting system though)

Personally I find that it is slowing the gameplay down a lot.

Just thinking to myself what BC 2 would have been like if it had prone = :mad: :(

Thanks goodness you will be able to destroy bushes and trees etc.
 
Just gotta say, just played an almost complete rush game.

And so far I'd say that this game is amazing :)
Considering it is just alpha, it feels so good once you get the hang of it, I really love support gunner and I haven't even unlocked the M249 yet.
 
It should be removed and replaced with a simple minimap 2d spotting. It shouldn't follow your movement but only shows your position at the moment of the spotting action.

I think I can agree with that. 2D spotting will be better alternative

You see a rush map in metro, that map is rush only, conquest maps hopefully will be as open as they are in BF2, the jet ones anyway. 2D spot is already enough information to pin point your enemy.

Why should I, because we're not all ' loving it ' we should exit thread? All this is being discussed on the alpha forums it's completely relevant to this thread.

Let's move of 3D spotting.

Auto vehicle repair, who seen that coming.

Yup, I hate the spotting system as well, just ruins any tactics to the game what so ever for the people attacking.

And plus the fact you get shot at from miles away by some random person firing below the triangle.

Thank god for HC servers.
 
Also having the problem with not seeing people that well at medium distances as someone said. Look very jaggy (on medium settings with no work around/tweaks or any thing like that). (granted it is alpha, so it should be better in beta/final game)
 
Guys please please answer this. I have asked two times before but didn't get any response.

Once the Alpha Trial is over on 1st August, would those who were invited to alpha trail still be able to play rush mode metro map beyond that date?
