Gaming headset

Thanks for that. How do i connect these leads along with my speaker leads at the same time??

You need 3 of these:

plug them into the output on your 5.1 soundcard and then the corresponding connectors on your speakers and the Kaves are then connected via these to your soundcard, so each output on the soundcard is feeding both devices.

The USB connector on the Kave's is used for power, if you unplug the USB the headset will switch off and you can just use the speakers. Plug the USB in and switch the speakers off when you want to use the headset....thats what I do!

Depends if you have a sound card or if you are using onboard audio. IMO, onboard audio is not good enough to warrant spending £130 on headphones/headset.

I am just using the onboard Realtek 7.1 HD card which sounds great through my Creative Gigaworks G550W 5.1 system.

Gotta say I disagree here... granted you won't get the full potential of a £130 set of headphones using onboard sound - but even with onboard sound theres night and day difference between a good set of headphones and your average "gaming" tat - and having noticed the difference there your more likely to upgrade the soundcard for the best quality :D
