Hello all,

I've got a question I currently have the 470 in SLI but have some money to waste would I notice a major improvment if I buy the GTX 590 single not SLI,

Many Thanks

Don't do it, only worthwhile upgrade from a decently clocked 470 SLI system would be to something with more VRAM if you played at higher resolution/multi display gaming.

thats the thing I am playing triple screen, the 470s in sli holds out well with most games, but with The Witcher 2 it lags quite bad so I have to change the settings to low to play

The GXT 590 is 2 GTX 580 cores but downclocked quite a bit.

The Core Clock and Shader Clock are around 20% slower, and the VRAM is around 15% slower, compared to a GTX 580.

So in performance it's a fair bit less than GTX 580's in SLI and closer to GTX 570's in SLI.

It would be a poor upgrade in terms of performance from what you have now.

with it off it's much better, but i'm a all in kinda guy, I wanna play my games with the best res / setting so was thinking about upgrades, plus I can sell the 470s and get some money back I hope lol

hmmm so maybe get the 580s but in SLI for around the same price as one 590??
