Well, I definitely need to upgrade. I can play it on low but it's not ideal, and the game has been very laggy for me, lots of rubber banding. I can see the makings of an awesome game though, just very frustrating not being able to get the best of it with my crappy computer, and terrible lag which I assume is from my net connection.

Thats good to here mate!!

Gusy remember this is still in Alpha and tbh each day has gotten a little worse FPS wise i'm sure its because they've been testing connecntion and GFx content!

I have to say I think the 3D spotting is a good thing, especially in more modern incarnations of BF (BC2, BF3). Previously, with BF2, there wasn't much opportunity to hide/disappear in the foliage - the levels were generally all quite open and no real opportunity to be hugely sneaky. However, in BC2 and BF3 you can see from the videos that being able to go prone and/or disappear in to some bushes could allow a lot of players to do just that and not be found for ages - that's not the making of a fun game IMO. I prefer people up and about and trying to support your team in achieving objectives.

I think it could be tweaked from BC so not to follow you too much, or for too long - but I still have a lot of faith in DICE and BF3.

I rarely see above 40fps, spec in sig. 1920x1200, high settings. Though ive gotta wait for the next beta driver release, which will have an sli profile for bf3 alpha. My gpu's are overclocked to 750mhz, (stock is 630mhz).

wouldnt worry too much about the rubber banding, I was getting a lot of that this afternoon after the update so I reckon they have ramped something up server side for testing
