A relationship is about balance! Me and the wife have this. If things get out if kilter we talk. It's hardly rocket science.
Well that, I feel, is one of the key difference between a wife and a GF. By the time you get to the married stage one would have gotten passed the initial teething stage. It is difficult at first understand why your partner won't stop playing mid-game to talk to you about your new dress.
She does moan, often with the phrase "You love your computer more than me" chucked in for humour.
She, too, watches a lot of crap on telly so we compromise in that I let her watch it whilst I'm on the pc
LMAO, same for me, with the phrase @Go to your second wife and enjoy her@

I could never, ever, date a woman who watches such drivel. I like a woman who is close to, matches or exceeds my intellect. Intellectual and stimulating conversation is much better than watching TV designed for mouth-breathers.
I've just realised my GF has no interests other than feeding her ego, makes no sense.
Lol.
I like a women who's rich, ridiculously hot, loves doing the nasty at every possible moment and forces me to play computer games whilst she pleasures me.
But alas... we can't get everything.

Seriously though, if you do the following: -
1. Say "If you're watching rubbish tv or browsing on the internet, I'm not going to sit with you while you do it, I'll do something I want to do"
2. Say "If you want to do something together (watch a film, chat, play a game) then I'm happy to do that.
3. If you are planning to do something online with friends at a specific time, let her know well in advance.
Seems to work for me...

Back in during my WoW addiction there was a fair bit of moaning, but then i was playing on PC's every night. As a compromise i have regular planned gaming night, (Every Tuesday and Thursday) and keep of the PC all other times, (Unless she is out). That now seams to work well.
My girlfriend says I have a technology problem as i am either on my laptop or my phone, thing is when I am with her I hardly use it and if I do its only to check something or do something required for that.
As it is now, she is now using my phone to talk to someone as I browse OCUK

Thought it was just me who used the rubbish tv excuse to get her away from it - its worked though but showing her games she might like helps to. Sims is always a winner
