In 10 days I'm off to Canada for a two week holiday. Rather than take a load of $CAD or continually use my credit card (and pay nearly 3% on every transaction), I was looking at the TravelEx Cash Passport (Mastercard). They are free to get, free to load with cash, free to reload cash, free ATM use (except where the ATM charges), no charge on merchant purchases (shops etc..), and the current exchange rate is about the same as the Post Office for cash. It almost sounds too good and too easy. Has anyone else used one of these? Any problems with it? Is this the best option besides foreign currency or is there better?

Used one in france, was good. Friend has just loaded one for a trip around India and some other countries
