There are many, many things stronger than the skeleton at the start of 4-1. Shortly after that first skeleton there's a red eye skeleton that makes him look like a wuss.

What kind of character are you building? More strength/dex for heavy weapons and armour, or more towards magic and light amour?

Your better off focusing on some things rather than spreading your souls evenly.

Was hoping to balance it a bit. I do want it more along the lines of Weapons and amour with just a smidge on the magic. For example I love the soul arrow for the likes of the dragons (would it even kill a dragon??) or awkward enemies that I can shoot and run, but would love a bigger pool of MP.

I just don't want to be stuck with the run and whack if ya know what I mean.

Probably asking for too much lol

My first build was quite balanced because i wanted use a bit of everything, but later on you get stuff that gives a big bonus with certain stats, so rather than having say 30 str and 30 mag, you might as well go 45 str and 15 mag then get a big weapon that stacks with str.

Iv'e gone more magic with this build so my str and dex are quite low where as my mag, int and vit are high, and the only big-ish weapon i have is a 'moon +5' which goes off my mag stat.

Well I'm still taking everything in baby steps at the minute. Didn't get a chance to play it last night so I will probably get stuck in to it tonight. Still in human form so going to give the Armored spider a thrashing (I hope lol). Now that I have the short bow and the soul arrow I hope to use these as an advantage.

Then I will probably do some farming and build my Knight up a bit, don't have any real powerful weapons yet but hope fully with enough souls I will carve him in to a good Melee character, with a slightly good magic edge.

We shall see.

Is it considered cheating to turn off the PS3 when you think you will die and go to soul form????? lol

When I start playing this game I plan on playing it offline, I'm not having no chump come in and kill my inferior character and lose my souls

In fairness I have not seen ANYONE come near me as a black phantom, at all, but being online is great as all the messages left behind are really helpful, some let you know when there is a trap ahead or a hoard of bad ass's ahead. Some even inform you of some hidden treasure. Its great that way.

I haven't asked for any help from blue phantoms yet, not too sure how to do it, and still not sure if there are many people online still playing this that would help???

When playing I would see what looks like souls fighting from a previous battle (I would assume) and its not the ones with the bloodstains, just now and then some soul form shows up for a few seconds looks like their fighting then disappears.

Is this just a glimpse of someone's past fight or is that someone online at the same time? :confused:

Anyone fought the Old monk 3-3 on-line to get the Head collar?

When the player phantom is summoned, is his soul level similar to your own or is it random? (could be easy or hard)

The player is an invading red phantom so he'll be around your level.

No where near there yet and I have not seen anyone online.

That's the question I was asking when you see like white phantoms fighting then disappearing are they guys online or just ghosts of old fights that happened?? (not actually people online at tha time)

The white phantoms are actual players who are online in that area (and are around your level).

To answer your question regarding blue phantoms. You can only summon a blue phantom if you are in body form and a player who is in soul form has dropped their blue summoning stone. You will most often see blue summoning stones outside the fog before a boss. Just walk up to one (again; in body form) and press X on the text to summon them.

Thanks man thats exactly what I was looking for.

At least I know there are people still playing this online.

So you only get blue stones outside a boss area? You cant find any or carry any?

Still will be really handy when I come to the Armour spider tonight (and yea Im in body form

), help would be nice.

You carry a blue stone at all times, but you tend to find other players will only help with harder bosses. Also be aware that you laying your blue stone down means you are offering help to others and you will only be to do so when in soul form. If you are looking for help then you need to find a blue sign to invite someone into your game and for the armoured spider level they are usually at the start of the level not the bosses door.

Soooo I have to wait for someone to put a blue stone down in soul form?
Basically look out for a blue sign? is that like the red messages on the ground. Sorry just don't think I have ever seen one yet

You won't see them until later levels. Once you are further on into the game you will see them dotted all over the place.

They are indeed like the red signs on the floor, they just glow bright blue, when you see it you'll know it instantly.

Im new to this game, and iv just recently picked up the black stone so i can invade peoples worlds. For some reason though every time i use the stone it says "invasion failed" i am SL 31 not sure if that makes any difference though?

Invasion failed typically means a connection error occurred. Dunno how to help i'm afraid, it only said that once in a blue moon for me.

Yeah had a feeling this was the case. Not sure if i can be bothered to mess about with ports and crap as i had a lot of trouble with fifa on the ps3 playing games online. Most of the time it was hit or miss with getting games etc, even after forwarding ports. I got the feeling this will be the same
