Any one here own/owned a Vauxhall Astra 16V 2.0 Turbo ??

I been looking at an Vauxhall Astra 16V 2.0 Turbo (2005 model)
and wondering if any you guys have owned or own one these cars and if you can tell me any good or bad things about them ??

Especially Like any reasons why i should not to buy one....

Is the 2003 GSI the same engine? If so my mates turbo wnet at 33K miles under normal driving leaving us stranded, just one of the few reasons I cant stand Vauxhalls

I wouldn't blame vauxhall for a turbo packing up...

Cars with turbos fitted should really be left to idle for a few minutes when they first started and also before switching off after driving...If this is not done then turbo's normally will fail early..

I have plenty of other reasons as to why I'd personally never buy a Vauxhall, if you like them then more power to you, you asked, I told. I've owned a couple of turbo charged cars I'm fully aware of the mechanical sympathy thats required.

Must be those rubbish vauxhall brand turbos they use :rolleyes:
